Most notably, I really like Chris's press coverage. There are a few schools like OLSM, Belleville, and Rouge that know how to coach press. On top of that, Chris seems to have good ball skills once the ball is thrown his way. I'm not sure how his change of direction or overall athleticism are, but I am optimistic about his athleticism. It's also notable to say that Chris is a decent run-stopper. He works to shed blocks, and is an alright tackler.
Maybe his height is an issue for some schools, but I generally like his tape so much that I'd say Chris is a fringe D2 prospect.

If the rankings were based off of High School performance alone, Carson might be a top-30 player. He plays Quarterback at South Christian, but doesn't project as a pro-style passer in college. Instead, Carson is elite in the run game and with off-schedule playmaking. I watched as Carson ran around and made plays for his team during the State Championship. When needed, Carson was able to make a big throw. Also when needed, Carson put his body on the line to pick up huge first downs. He isn't a prototypical QB, so that's why he isn't getting recutting attention and why he isn't ranked higher. Carson is legitimately one of the most valuable players in all of West Michigan, and I know he'll have another great season doing what he does.

AJ could shoot up the rankings by the end of the season. Last season, he was an incredibly dynamic and valuable player for a frankly bad Jenison team. Whether it was as a kicker, receiver, or linebacker, AJ made plays. At linebacker, AJ was an aggressive run-stopping outside linebacker. I love the play speed and effort he played with. At receiver, AJ is fundamentally raw, though he was a great jump-ball candidate. I have no doubt that AJ is a great football player, but I struggle to find a recruitable position for him. I love his size, love the play speed, but this season, AJ needs to improve as a linebacker or receiver. With the new coaching staff at Jenison, I am confident that he'll be utilized very well and have an opportunity to earn college offers.

Joe is an extremely unique prospect in these rankings. I can't find a Twitter or any other online presence other than his Junior highlight tape. Here's the thing about Joe's highlights—they're really impressive! As a safety, Joe has forced several turnovers. Not all of these turnovers were gimmes, either. Joe covered quite a bit of ground and caught some not-so-easy balls to force the turnover. I don't think Joe's IQ is elite, but he seems reactive and instinctual. On top of that, he serves as East English's best offensive weapon. He lines up at QB, RB, and receiver. In all of those positions, Joe demonstrates good vision, speed, and overall open-field ability. His testing times would paint a more complete picture, but I have a feeling Joe could be a sleeper prospect.

I've watched TJ perform well in person and on tape. Though, in this class, the slot receiver / DB market is absolutely flooded. Like any good slot receiver, TJ is twitchy enough to win separation on his short-intermediate routes. He's also decently skilled at route-running, being fairly consistent with those routes. Defensively, I've seen a few good DB reps, but I'd like to see more in the future. There is a possibility that TJ has a breakout 2024 season and earns some late offers once much of the 2025 class starts to commit. His size and position aren't doing him favors, but I am looking forward to seeing TJ compete during his senior season. Right now I have TJ as a fringe D3 prospect.
