He held two offers from Hawaii and Sacramento State before committing to the Hornets earlier this month, and is a big time get for one of the best teams in the Big Sky. He put up some very impressive tape showing he is an excellent open field tackler, brings a nice thump at the POA and can get downhill in a hurry while not afraid to explode into the backfield and clean up near the LOS. In coverage, he is smooth in transition, has good ball skills and return abilities as well while a very smooth overall athlete with plus size. He checks in as a top 35 defensive back across the state and just inside the top 275 overall within California, and deservingly so. He is a big and physical kid that can win near the LOS and plays with patience before breaking on the ball while showing good PBU abilities, recovery length and can come up and set the edge in run support as well while a sure open field tackler. He is a very high IQ and instinctual player that always is around the ball, can run with both bigger receivers and is fluid enough in transition to cover in the slot or outside as well.
