2025 Mississippi Offensive Players Moving Up Through The Rankings

Today, we want to talk about some more guys on offense that you need to know. Let's check it out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1120605' first='Kenyan' last='Chatman']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Chatman is a receiver from Natchez that has a lot of speed. This is a guy that we are going to be keeping a close eye on this season. He is a player that can take a short pass for a long distance. Chatman is one of those guys that is elusive on the field. He makes it hard for defenders to get good solid tackles on him. We think that he has a good chance to play football on the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1258785' first='Cole' last='Gipson']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gipson is a quarterback that we were able to get our eyes on at a camp this offseason. This is a guy that has a strong arm. He is a young man from Wesson that is coming up on his second year of being a starting quarterback for his team. Gipson is also a guy that can move around in the pocket a little bit. He is one of those guys that we have been keeping up with this offseason. We will be sure to get our eyes on him this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1240924' first='Peyton' last='Thomas']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas is an offensive lineman from Choctaw County that we have been keeping up with since the spring. He is a guy that knows how to protect his quarterback. He is one of those offensive linemen that his team puts a lot of trust in. Thomas is going to be a player that does the right things for his squad. He knows how to protect on passing plays and he is able to make lanes for running plays. Thomas has good feet with nice movements in the trenches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1348312' first='Chance' last='Jenkins']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jenkins is a receiver that was clocked at a 4.3 at an Ole Miss football camp this offseason. Jenkins is a guy that we think is going to have a big season for his guys this year. His coaches have been bragging on him a lot. Jenkins is one of those guys that can catch the football and take it a long distance. He is one of those guys that makes dudes miss from the line. It is really hard to keep up with a guy that has speed like him. Jenkins is one of those players that can be a pest for defensive coordinators.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1351224' first='De'Traun' last='Brown']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is a receiver from Newton that people need to talk about a lot more. He is one of those dudes that knows how to make cornerbacks miss right from the line just like Jenkins. Brown is a receiver that knows how to get open. He knows how to find the open holes in zone defenses. When you watch his film, you are going to be very impressed. He is not going to get shut down. This dude is a division one player that more people need to be talking about. His stock could really rise this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1351198' first='Nick' last='Miller']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Miller is a receiver from Poplarville that we were able to get our eyes on at the Prep Redzone Combine in Jackson, Mississippi this past April. We were impressed. No, Poplarville is not the team that is going to pass much, but Miller is a guy to know. He has a lot of talent, and he was winning a lot of 1v1 battles at the combine. This is a dude that we are going to keep up with. It is going to be really interesting to see how his recruiting process goes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
