In the spring game he threw for 166 yards abd and 5 touchdowns. Johnson is a very efficient quarterback who does a good job of reading coverages and taking what the defense gives him. He has the arm talent to make every necessary throw and is a real weapon out of the pocket because of his speed and running ability. He shows good hands, good quickness, and does have the speed to turn short passes into long gains. He consistently shows the ability to find open spaces during his routes and has reliable hands. He finished second in the district last season with 965 yards, completing 56% of his passes with 11 touchdown passes. He also finished second on the team in rushing with 496 yards and two touchdowns.
