Julius Holly - DL - Alpharetta

A Fulton County defender on the rise who is quickly becoming one of the top EDGE defenders in the state, this 6-foot-4 235-pounder from Alpharetta (GA) dominated this week at a University of Georgia camp, landing an offer from the in-state powerhouse after an impressive performance in front of the Georgia staff. Holly saw his recruitment take off this spring as he added major offers in May from Georgia, Michigan, Kansas, South Carolina, and Michigan State. As a junior last fall, Holly showed why he's one of the top pass-rushers in the area due to his burst off the snap, length, and big play ability. He's an explosive defender who knows how to deliver a big hit on the quarterback. He can win with speed off the edge, but he's also strong enough to drive opposing tackles into the backfield. A stout run defender as well, it's easy to see why Holly has the offer list he does. Look for him to see a boost in the next 2025 Prep Redzone rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='338651' first='Mark' last='Manfred'] - DB - Sprayberry

One of the top 2025 defensive backs in Cobb County and across metro-Atlanta, Manfred is a long, athletic defensive back with an excellent 6-foot-3 175-pound frame. As a junior last fall, this playmaking defender made 57 tackles, five TFLs, one INT, and one forced fumble. He showed the ability to lock down his side of the field and knows how to wrap up and take down the ball-carrier. He already holds a giant offer list and added a new one from the Michigan Wolverines. In the secondary, Manfred uses his length and ball skills to knock away the ball when passes come his way. He has enough size to hold his own against bigger, stronger receivers on the perimeter, and when he's able to make a play, Manfred plays the ball like a veteran wideout. He can run, tackle, tackle, and made a big impact in the Yellow Jackets secondary last year. His stock continues to rise, and more offers could easily come his way this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='270727' first='Dallas' last='Carter'] - Augusta Christian

A turnover machine in the secondary who is finally starting to see his recruitment pick up, Carter was an absolute ball-hawk last seasons as a junior, picking off an eye-opening nine passes last year for his Augusta Christian squad. He roams the back end like a lion and then reacts quickly when the ball is in the air. If he's in the area, Carter was going to come down with the ball. At 5-foot-11 170-pounds, Carter has enough size, instincts, and ball skills to easily play at the next level. He earned a new offer recently from Western Kentucky, and more should be on the way. He didn't play against the best competition, but his big-play ability was easy to see. He's a natural defensive back who can also make a key tackle in the open field. As a junior last fall, this Augusta-area prospect on the rise made 55 tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. He's a sleeper defensive back to know about in 2024.
