<p>Here were three first- or second-team all-state hoops standouts in Louisiana's smaller school classifications (4A and 5A) who were also big-time playmakers for their schools on the football field in the fall.</p>

<p>The relatively new football player who has quickly become one of the state's fastest-rising prospects in that sport continued playing his major role on the court as well, earning first-team all-state in both sports with his averages on the court of 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.5 steals.</p>

<p>The Bearcats netted a pair of first-team all-staters in Class 5A, as the wunderkind freshman joined Anding. Hudson finished his first high school basketball season with averages of 14.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game — all of which he increased during the team's semifinal run.</p>
