Saivion Vaughn
Saivion Vaughn
Arguably the best raw athlete of his group, the moon is the upside for this young man. Some people were born to be on a football field and he’s one of them. He’s explosive, twitchy, and can play both ways. He’s got a build you can tell that he will develop into as he gets older. He sees the ball well, doesn’t make many mistakes, and has all the confidence in the world. He was playing up with 15U and 18U all weekend and was making big plays on both sides. I’d be willing to bet by the time he graduates, Saivion Vaughn will be a household name.

Tua John Averitte
Tua John Averitte
An upcoming young explosive weapon in the Indy area is Averitte. He’s got great agility and is as good as anyone with the ball in his hands. A big portion of their offense was get the ball to Averitte and let him be creative and go to work. He’s got a great feel for pressure and when to take what he can on a play. As each game went on, his confidence grew and by the end of the weekend, Averitte was one of the most improved players simply from a confidence standpoint. He came in looking to prove himself and left knowing he was going to be just fine in the high school ranks.

Demetrius Averitte
Demetrius Averitte
Easily the most explosive player there this past weekend was the older brother of Tua John, Demetrius. The 2 brothers are explosive, but when Demetrius hits the jets it’s a bit unfair to everyone else on the field. He had one rep where he caught the ball on an over route about 5 yards deep. He shifted gears and split the entire defense and was looking back a bit confused where they all just went. The coaches I was with on the 50-yard line couldn’t believe what they just saw. It was the closest to a Tavon Austin type moment I had ever seen in person. It wasn’t the only time Averitte exploded like that, but that was the moment where everyone knew this cat might be a bit different. Keep your eyes on the name Demetrius Averitte.
