Tomorrow, I’ll be covering the STACKED OK-Green league.
’25 RB/OLB | Jared DeVries | Unity Christian | Hudl
Jared is a bulldozer on offense and a hard-hitting linebacker on defense. Most of his tape is at running back, so I’ll be evaluating him at that position. Although he’s not a game-breaking talent, Jared gains tough yards and serves as a power option in UC’s Wing-T scheme. There are several highlights where he meets a man near the line of scrimmage and lays down a big hit. His contact balance is hit or miss, and improving that aspect would take his game to a new level. Jared is also a willing blocker, and has had a few good moments in the receiving game. If he wants to be a key contributor at the next level, I’d recommend speed training and working on balance/flexibility.
’25 QB | Jay Johnson | Wyoming | Hudl
Jay served as a unique dual-threat quarterback for Wyoming last season. He doesn’t have many passing highlights, but the ones on his tape show that he can throw the ball down the field and that he has some potential as a passer. This offseason, he could improve as a passer to have a more well-rounded game. The main draw to his tape is his athleticism and run ability. I think Jay’s biggest strength his his vision. He’s not the most explosive athlete, but he has subtle fakes, jukes, and uniquely good vision that allows him to see the field very well. There were times last season when he made some very good defenders miss. If Jay can improve on his speed and explosiveness, he could earn himself some college attention.
’25 S | Adrian Moore | Wyoming | @MooreAdrian7
Adrian is undoubtedly one of Wyoming’s best defensive players, and he could be a sleeper prospect. His tape shows a great reaction, good explosiveness, and closing speed, and he’s an excellent run-stopper. Aiden is an aggressive tackler who isn’t afraid to jump in front of blockers and go full-speed into the running back for a big hit. On top of that, he impressed during the Legacy 7on7 circuit. His offensive highlights also show good speed and explosiveness. I’d love to see Adrian at a few off-season camps, perhaps the MHSAA Camp at Jenison.
’25 G | Charles Anderson Jr | Wyoming | @CJAnder17596215
Charles is a brick wall up front for Wyoming. A good run blocker, Charles does a solid job at hitting and driving back the opposing lineman. As long as he engages cleanly, his power and leverage are usually enough to drive someone back 5+ yards. He’s also able to pull and block just about anyone who comes in his way, even DBs. I like the film, but unfortunately, his ceiling isn’t very high because of his height.
’25 OLB | Donny Petree | Wyoming | Hudl
Donny is a solid run-stopper. Lining up on-ball, he does a decent job of reading the play and reacting as quickly as he can. He could improve from playing with a little more aggression and decisiveness, though. There’s also untapped potential as an EDGE rusher. Although he looks a tad undersized, with a bit more strength, he could develop into a solid pass rusher.
’25 RB | Jack Terveen | Wyoming | @JackTerveen
Jack is a big bruiser of a running back. His 2023 season was very hit or miss as a whole, but his highlights show awesome potential in several areas. First, he’s got some good power. There are several plays where he absolutely lays into defenders, making him unstoppable against smaller defenders. The only problem is that has a bit of a wild running style that causes him to be very unbalanced. So, even though he can hit hard, it rarely results in an explosive play. Still, he’s an excellent lead blocker who should be one of the centerpieces around this offense.
