He's frustrated that too many Kansas prospects have not gotten enough coverage.

Here are five ranked Kansas athletes who have not been featured often enough in the past six months.

Welcome to the Coverage Club gridiron stalwarts.

[player_tooltip player_id='570157' first='Kyle' last='Keya'], DL, 6'5”, 205, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘25

Keya is a fast edge rusher currently ranked No. 40 overall by Prep Redzone. He is the sixth-ranked defensive lineman in his class. He can play on the line or as an outside linebacker. His speed is what makes him a difference-maker on defense. He finishes tackles and can play solid pass defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='733500' first='Bravin' last='Powell'], ATH, 6'2”, 175, Gardner-Edgerton, ‘25

Powell can play multiple positions and has a nice arm when he takes snaps at quarterback. He is currently ranked No. 38 overall and as the fifth-ranked athlete. Powell has a nice touch on the deep ball and the speed to be a threat with his legs. He has the athleticism to move play defensive back or wideout if a college program wants to move him.

[player_tooltip player_id='595717' first='Ja'Marcus' last='Vornes'], WR, 6'0”, 170, Junction City, ‘26

Vornes is currently ranked No. 27 overall in the class of 2026. Prep Redzone has him ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver. Junction City's program is one I have a ton of respect for and the Bluejays produce college talent. Vornes runs tight routes and can beat defenders deep. He also had a solid 7v7 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='904472' first='Bailey' last='Johnson'], OL, 6'1”, 305, Lawrence, ‘26

Johnson is a tough-nosed guard and a leader on the Lions' offensive line. Prep Redzone has him currently ranked No. 39 overall and the sixth-ranked o-lineman. He has strong legs and moves well. He has the speed to be a dangerous lead block when pulling. His pass protection is solid and Johnson plays withgreat pad level.

[player_tooltip player_id='904449' first='Tremaine' last='Savage'], DB, 5'10”, 150, Highland Park, ‘26

Highland Park was the one Topeka program I was unable to watch play last season. I look forward to trying to catch the Scots in the fall of 2024 along with their ranked defensive back. Savage is ranked No. 100 overall and is the sixth-ranked defensive back He can play a corner or safety. He could also be an impact athlete on special team units.
