Doing these analysis allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Agyeman Addae- Columbus High c/o 25
5’10 185lbs
Adda is a running back prospect on the rise. Last season he helped guide the Explorers to a 13-2 record and a State Championship! He finished second the team in rushing with 697 yards, averaging 5.4 yards per carry with 6 touchdowns and 1-100 yard rushing game. The Explorers will rely on Addae again this season to help them get back in contention for a district title and a deep run in the State playoffs. Addae picked up his first D1 offer from Ole Miss in December. Addae possesses quick feet, can make sharp cuts without losing speed, shows really good burst through the hole.
Antwuan Simmons- Columbus High c/o 25
5’10 190lbs
Simmons will team up with Addae and form a potent 2-headed monster in the Explorers backfield. Last season he rushed for 235 yards, averaging 4 yards per carry with 4 touchdowns and had 2 receptions for 19 yards. Simmons is a punishing runner that will drop this pads and run through contact, he’s a one cut runner that sticks his foot in the ground and gets up field quickly. Also flashes ability in pass pro.
Varian Terry- South Dade High c/o 26
5’7 160lbs
Terry is a player to keep an eye on this Spring and into the 2024 season. In a backup role last season he finished third on the team rushing with 421 yards, averaging 8.8 yd per carry with 4 touchdowns. Terry’s size allows him to hide behind blockers and once he hits the crease, he shows really good speed in the open field. Playmaker with the ball in his and slippery runner in close quarters
Ethan Lopez- Palmetto High c/o 25
5’10 200lbs
Lopez is an interesting up-and-coming running back prospect in the district. He’ll be a player the Panthers once again look to lead a rushing attack for a team that went 9-2 and into the Regional Semifinals of the State Playoffs. Last season he rushed for 286 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry, with 6 touchdowns. He also had 4 receptions for 42 yards. Lopez is a powerful runner that does a good job running behind his pads, flashes the lateral agility to get to the edge, and shows good acceleration when he sees hole open.
