Justin Weeks Justin Weeks 6'5" | 210 lbs | DL Pace Academy | 2027 State GA – Pace Academy
A playmaking defensive end with a lean, promising frame at 6-foot-5 215-pounds, Weeks certainly doesn’t look, or play like a freshman. This outstanding young prospect has an excellent body type that will allow him to continue adding solid weight and muscle over the next three years. He’s big and athletic enough to help on the offensive line, but his quickness, toughness, and natural ability on defense make him easily one of the top young defensive line prospects not only in Georgia but across the South for the 2027 class. He’s quick off the snap, can shed blocks, and even for his age, Weeks is strong enough to fight off blocks and find the ball-carrier. He also shows the ability to rush the quarterback at times. He plays for a strong Pace Academy program and one where Weeks can overpower smaller linemen more and more as his career moves along. He shows easy power five talent and major offers are sure to come his way. His potential and natural talent are easy to see, and when you combine that with his promising frame, you have a big-time prospect with a high ceiling. Now, this Atlanta native is ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in the state according to Prep Redzone
Chris Hunter – Milton
A prospect we’ve been hearing about for years now, Hunter had plenty of hype surrounding him heading into his freshman season last year, and the quick, powerful defensive lineman more than lived up to the expectations. As a freshman, playing defensive line for a major 7A program, competing against quality opponents week after week, Hunter was able to make a significant impact in one of the toughest regions in the state. He’s not the tallest or biggest interior defensive lineman, but he’s explosive off the snap, plays with good leverage, and shows a really good motor for his size. He creates pressure from the inside and has no problem getting after the quarterback from the interior. He caused a lot of chaos and was a consistent playmaker. To make that type of an impact as a freshman in 7A means a lot. The offers aren’t there yet, but they’ll come eventually. As a freshman last fall, the 6-foot-1 265-pounder made 30 tackles, 5.5 TFLs and 5.5 sacks. He’s currently ranked as the No. 16 prospect in the state for the 2027 class and is bound for a gigantic sophomore season in 2024.
Isaiah Andrews Isaiah Andrews 6'0" | 210 lbs | DL Thomas County Central | 2027 State GA – Thomas County Central
One of the top young defenders in South Georgia, Andrews is another freshman who was able to flash big-play potential for a state-championship program. Andrews brings a lengthy frame at 6-foot-2 215-pounds and has a chance to make a big impact as a sophomore at the varsity level next year. He’s put together physically and has been working hard in the weight room, setting a personal best recently with a 455-pound squat. He’s plenty strong for his age, and if he continues to progress and develop more and more over the next few months, Andrews could be bound for a breakout 2024 season. If that happens, look for some D1 interest and possible offers to come his way down the road. He’s an impressive young defender that a lot of people will know about in the future. But right now, he’s ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 35 overall prospect in the state for the 2027 class.
