This list has a great mix of a small school QBs ready to make the leap this summer, who my biggest riser will be this summer, and one of the best all-around QBs that I have scouted since we launched in 2020, is on this list too.
#5: Benjamin Schepp Benjamin Schepp QB Velva | 2025 State ND , QB, Velva Twitter
Coming in as QB5 in the North Dakota 2025 QB rankings is Benjamin Schepp Benjamin Schepp QB Velva | 2025 State ND out of Velva. The 2022 11B Player of the Year shows off a quarterback with excellent durability within his 6’1 195 pound frame to stay grounded, load up and still show all his arm strength has to offer from the first look of his tape. Benjamin also has quick-read vision on intermediate routes and delivers his throws on time with consistent precison. His release also shows off a rapid nature when he needs to get the ball out quickly but in my eyes shows the poise, but still constantly possesses great ball speed. I think Benjamin will be one to heat up this summer on the camp circuit.
#4: Jett Lundeen Jett Lundeen 6'0" | QB Minot Bishop Ryan | 2025 State ND , QB, Minot Bishop Ryan Twitter
One of my favorite QB prospects from a character perspective on this list is Minot Bishop Ryan’s Jett Lundeen Jett Lundeen 6'0" | QB Minot Bishop Ryan | 2025 State ND and no doubt about it, this kid can sling it too. You want a QB prospect to watch this summer at camps that has the highest ceiling within this group? Every camp since I have watched Jett since his freshmen year, he has showed out, including last Springs Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine landing him as QB MVP. Jett has some of the best arm strength on this top five list and I have loved to see the development his mobillity has shown over the last few years as his fluidity has certainly flourished more on tape.
#3: Mason Klabo Mason Klabo 6'0" | QB Fargo Davies | 2025 State ND QB, Fargo Davies Twitter
Although the Fargo Davies quarterback didn’t see action in 2023 due to injury, all of my sources and I agree heavily it is hard to look past this young man’s tape from a year ago. His football ceiling is still there for the taking this summer on the camp circuit as a sound showing would certainly get him some offers by the end of it. Mason shows off excellent poise within the pocket and despite of which level of the field he is making his throw he always shows off an quick release which shows fluidly throughout his tape. What I like most about Mason on tape is how frequently he looks off the safety creating a seperation advantage to reach his wide receiver in stride. With Division I basketball offers on the table, I will be very curious and observant what Mason’s next 3-4 months looks like.
#2 Pearce Parks Pearce Parks 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND , QB, Grand Forks Red River Twitter
A 2025 North Dakota quarterback has been a steady stockriser up our rankings has been Red River’s Pearce Parks Pearce Parks 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Grand Forks Red River | 2025 State ND , who checks in as QB2 in the class. I have loved watching the development of Pearce’s instincts grow from from sophomore year into junior year, not just athletically but certainly with the way he reads the field has grown faster in my eyes. He has has been excellent around the corners with his accuracy as he constantly pinpoints the ball in the corner of the end zone where only his WR can get it as that has risen up on tape year by year as well. Pearce also has the legs out of the pocket to look more like a charging downhill running back with his 6’2 200 pound frame which shows off significant durability too. He has loaded up on NSIC offers so far, so I expect to see more come thru this summer and certainly some Missouri Valley looks as well.
#1: Walker Braaten Walker Braaten 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Westhope | 2025 State ND , QB, Westhope Twitter
When you look at the overall size Walker has (6’4 180) shows off and just how agile and athletically he moves, along with his dialed in arm strength and accuracy on all three levels, it shouldn’t be surprised why he is our QB1 amongst North Dakota 2025s. Even on the run while being chased, Walker’s pinpoints his wide receiver right on the button on deep routes. His arm sells off like a laser-pointer that precisely reads right into the sweet spot downfield for his receiver, where he might be. Did I mention he is a darn great tackler downhill and heads the contact level on the number on the reps I got on tape and his long length also shows off efficent ball-tracking ability in pass coverage which is also impressive. Walker is one the best all-around quarterbacks I have scouted in North Dakota since we launched in the Dakotas in 2020.
