Sam is actually a prospect I’m surprised I hadn’t heard more about. He’s a very springy athlete who is built extremely well. His film shows that he has put a lot of work in and has a good amount of natural ability at the DB position. I really like how versatile he is, as he can cover deep routes, can cut on a dime on shorter routes or double moves, and he can come up and throw his body around in the run game. He shows a lot of signs of a promising prospect, and I have nothing but trust that the staff at DCC will develop Sam into an elite player.

Charlie Garner IV
Charlie could burst onto the scene this fall as long as he puts in the work this offseason. I would like to see him continue to bulk up in the weight room, and continue to work on his footwork. It looks like his playing time continued to increase as the season went on last year, and I hope that trend continues for him because he does show a solid ability to play the ball, play the receivers hands, and he clearly displays good closing speed. If he puts the work in, this could be a diamond in the rough find for a D3 in need of a corner.
Jake is an extremely competitive dude who wears his emotion on his sleeve, and you can see his love for the game. He’s a powerful back who does a great job of staying patient, watching things develop in front of him, and he has the vision to find a hole and explode through it. He has no issue bouncing off bodies to continue his run, and an arm tackle just won’t get it done. I think Jake has a huge season ahead of him as he continues to work on his craft.

Antonio Smith
Belding is no stranger to developing some tough nosed players, especially defensively. Smith looks like he could very well be the next one we are talking about for the next level. He doesn’t have a ton of film, but what I do see is a relentless motor, and a good ability to shed blockers and get into the backfield. He is built to be a great defensive lineman, and with some hard work he could bolster his stock a ton over the next year!
Torry Gagne Jr.
Torry Gagne Jr.
Torry is going to be a fun prospect to follow over the coming years. He’s been an absolute star already this offseason as he has been playing extremely well on his 7V7 team. He’s been an elite player both offensively and defensively. He doesn’t have a ton of film quite yet obviously, but everything I’m hearing is the buzz around him is only going to increase! Mt. Pleasant is right in my wheelhouse and I’m excited to follow along with Torry and his development!
