Ending last fall with a 9-4 record and a loss in the state championship to Mountain Lakes, there are few teams in the state returning as much experienced talent as Glassboro is. Here is a program that could be on the verge of a dynasty over these next few seasons.
Only a freshman in 2023, Kristopher Foster Jr. Kristopher Foster Jr. 6’2″ | 190 lbs | QB Glassboro | 2027 State NJ played as if he’s been a varsity starter for years already. Tossing for over 1000 yards and 13 touchdown, the 2027 QB has legitimate arm strength and is capable of tossing perfect dimes over the shoulders of his receivers. Tossing it with some zip behind it, Kristopher is able to get the ball where it needs to be and rocket it to a crossing receiver. Standing tall in the pocket, Kristopher’s mechanics are crisp as he gets his hips around and follows through on the throw. Ranked as the 6th QB in New Jersey’s 2027 class, I have a feeling he’ll be in the top 3 conversation by seasons end.
Highlights
The second 2027 player on Glassboro’s offense to cover, running back Davon Barr Davon Barr 6’0″ | 190 lbs | RB Glassboro | 2027 State NJ has made a name for himself and is considered a top prospect in the state. Rushing for 666 yards and 3 touchdowns as a freshman, Davon stood out against upperclassmen as he delivered nasty stiff arms and trucked defenders along the way. Davon is able to run through the middle and split the defense in two as he outruns the secondary. Raw strength and speed, Davon is a future thousand yard rusher.

The younger of the two Sabb’s on the roster, Xavier Sabb Xavier Sabb 6’1″ | 180 lbs | ATH Glassboro | 2027 State NJ is not only a top talent for Glassboro but is the consensus top prospect coming out of NJ’s 2027 class. Arguably the most dangerous athlete in the state, Xavier dominates every facet of the game. A deadly return man, Xavier lit up specials teams in 2023 as he weaved his way to 5 touchdowns between kickoffs and punts. Hard to bring to the ground, Xavier is slippery with the ball in his hands and always finds a way to shake loose from the would-be tackler. Xavier racked up 609 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, and even snagged two interceptions when he lined up in the secondary. Xavier is an athlete in the truest sense.
One of the fastest defensive tackles you will come across, Brandon Simmons Jr. Brandon Simmons Jr. 6’2″ | 260 lbs | DL Glassboro | 2026 State NJ is a name you need to know. A big man that plays with a fire lit under him, Brandon is explosive from start to finish. Making 91 tackles, 13 sacks, an interception and forcing a fumble in 2023, Brandon sheds blockers with ease as he punches them to the side and uses the swim move to get by. Extremely quick out of his stance, Brandon beats the lineman off of the line and has great hand usage immediately off of the snap. Brandon is the type of defender a runner hopes to never have to meet in the hole.
The older of the two brother currently on roster (another currently at Alabama after winning a national title with Michigan), the Sabb family bleeds athletic greatness. Another athlete that can line up anywhere and find success, Amari shined as a runner and receiver as he racked up just under 500 offensive yards and 9 offensive touchdowns. Quick footwork off of the line when he lines up out wide, Amari can get the corners feet crossed up, allowing him to sprint on by and outrun the rest of the defense. Extremely powerful in his lateral movement, Amari essentially bounds as he moves laterally and extends the play to the perimeter. This is an athlete that can make defenses look silly anytime he’s carrying the rock.
