Had an outstanding combine with impressive numbers testing where he showed his speed, quickness, power and explosiveness as an athlete. All those attributes translated well to the field in both drills and one on ones where he used them to get separation from defensive backs with some nice route running. Malahn has really good hands, makes great cuts using his quickness, and can make the difficult catch. He has a bright future ahead of him. As a freshman he saw some quality time in varsity action and caught 20 passes for 230 yards. He also showed nice skill as a reurner.

I first saw Drake last spring at a camp as an 8th grader and was impressed then with his physical development and receiving ability for his age. He came to the combine and showed his continued progress as a player and athlete. He put up good test numbers to show his athleticism and power, and he also has the goods as a receiver and continues his upward trajectory there as well. Gilkison is a physical receiver who uses his size, strength and speed well. He has good body control and uses it to make it tough for DBs to defend against. Look for him to make some noise heading into his sophomore season. He looks ready to be a contributor on varsity now.

Another player who I saw as an 8th grader who impressed me and who is a returnee to the Elite combine after attending as a middle schooler last year. Isaac also showed his continued improvement with his skills and athleticism. He is a very good route runner and does a good jump finding space and getting separation from defenders with moves or hitting an extra gear. Then he displayed excellent hands. He doesn’t drop many that are thrown near him. Hudson is another young receiver who should make a name for himself this coming season.

John was another returnee after attending the 2023 combine last year. He made some great strides as a player and athlete just from then when I saw him in game action as a versatile weapon who could catch the ball or rush the ball on his freshman team. He has great height at six-foot-four and uses it well as a big target who can go up and get the ball. He’s a long strider with good speed and tested well, looked good in drills and was a tough match-up for defensive backs. Unfortunately, Pudliner is transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas in Florida, so we won’t get to watch his continued development in Missouri. He is a player to keep an eye on over the next three years as a college prospect.
