SPARTANBURG | The South Carolina portion of the Carolinas Coaches Combine came to a close on Sunday afternoon. Under beautiful sunny skies and temperatures reaching the 80s in the Upstate, the 2026 and 2027 classes were on display for us to see and the action did not disappoint.
Christ Church wide receiver Jude Hall Jude Hall 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Christ Church | 2026 State SC (pictured above) won the overall MVP for the afternoon.
Woodruff wide receiver Kori Moates walked away with the best vertical award, as he registered with a 29.1. Dorman defensive back Kentavion Anderson Kentavion Anderson 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB Dorman | 2026 SC had the best broad jump with a 10’4” vertical.
Continuing with the combine awards, Easley defensive lineman Stone Turner had a strong outing on the bench press with 29 reps. North Augusta running back Michael Doe Michael Doe 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB North Augusta | 2026 State SC moved quickly through the Pro Shuttle drill, finishing with a time of 4.15. Speaking of moving quickly, Byrnes wide receiver Chanin Harris ran a 4.41 in the 40-yard dash.
The individual and competitive period gave plenty of opportunity for guys to shine. The best offensive lineman award went to Clinton’s Tre Aiken Tre Aiken 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Clinton | 2026 SC . Gaffney running back Jaiden McDowell Jaiden McDowell 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Gaffney | 2026 State SC took home the offensive combo award, while Jamel Howse Jamel Howse 6'4" | 210 lbs | WR Newberry | 2026 State SC of Newberry took home the award for best offensive skill.
Moving on to the defensive side of the ball, two Boiling Springs Bulldogs walked away with awards: Dennis Glenn won best defensive lineman while defensive back Jeremiah Favorite Jeremiah Favorite 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Boiling Springs | 2026 State SC walked away with the award for best defensive skill.
Greenwood linebacker Khamari Griffin Khamari Griffin 5'8" | 175 lbs | ATH Greenwood | 2026 SC took home the award for best defensive combo. The top specialist was Laurens place kicker Brock Franklin. Newberry defensive lineman Thomas Dewalt won the leadership award.
