Prep Redzone Louisiana released its latest 2026 rankings this week with a long list of notable changes.

In addition to the shifts up and down the list, several prospects are now at new schools since the last update.

Here are notes on eight prospects who have been on multiple rankings lists who are now in different jerseys from those previous editions.

[player_tooltip player_id='710968' first='Nathan' last='Green'] — 6-0, 180 ATH — Evangel Christian

Green is the most prominent of three players on this list among the wave of Shreveport area players now at Evangel Christian. The versatile athlete was an early Prep Redzone Louisiana favorite in the 2026 class after some limited freshman film at Booker T. Washington and on the 7-on-7 circuit last spring. Now he'll be among the top players to watch for the increasingly loaded Eagles program which opted this fall to compete in Class 5A for the next classification and districting cycle.

[player_tooltip player_id='710970' first='Hayward' last='Howard Jr.'] — 6-1, 160 DB — Edna Karr

The long, speedy athlete is arguably Louisiana's top 2026 cornerback prospect at this point in the group's development, particularly depending at which positions a couple of "athletes" ultimately land long-term. And, following his second move in the past year, he is scheduled to join the Cougars' always-talented and well-coached secondary.

[player_tooltip player_id='751777' first='Sy'our' last='Ferrell'] — 6-2, 170 WR — Bonnabel

The former John Ehret receiver, a big pass-catching target to know in the New Orleans area, is now on the east bank at Bonnabel as a notable young prospect to add to a bit more talent that seems to be coming through the Bruins' program over the span of a few recruiting cycles.

[player_tooltip player_id='401751' first='DeMarkus' last='Evans'] — 5-8, 150 ATH — Evangel Christian

The transfer from Parkway hasn't been covered in quite as many Prep Redzone Louisiana articles during the 18-plus months of covering this class, but should be a familiar name here and will be a player to know the next two seasons and in the recruiting class. The versatile athlete's quickness and track speed make him a dangerous weapon, whether in the backfield or slot, and allow him to quickly cover a lot ground on defense or run with any opposing receiver.

[player_tooltip player_id='401987' first='Tyrone' last='Mathieu III'] — 5-11, 160 ATH — St. Augustine

Certainly a recognizable name not only in the city, but the entire state has ended up at familiar 2600 A.P. Tureaud for high school after having initially being reportedly headed for Destrehan. The nephew of former St. Augustine and LSU star and current New Orleans Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu is now in his sophomore track season with the Purple Knights.

[player_tooltip player_id='920672' first='Peyton' last='Landry'] — 6-1, 165 QB — New Iberia

The now-former Westgate quarterback transferred during this fall to crosstown rival New Iberia. Landry caught our attention last summer with his good build, strong arm and quick, light feet as a young passer and remains a notable young prospect at the position to know in Louisiana's 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='922575' first='Isaiah' last='Stokes'] — 6-2, 195 LB — Zachary

The big linebacker initially at Catholic (Baton Rouge) is now a short few miles north of the capital city at District 4-5A rival Zachary, where he is running track and preparing for his junior season of football. Both schools have become perennial state championship contenders in both sports in recent years.

[player_tooltip player_id='401941' first='Cameron' last='Hines'] — 5-9, 140 WR — Evangel Christian

Rounding out the Evangel transfers on this list, Hines was first on our radar as a seventh-grader at the Score U camp in Shreveport and transferred this year from Captain Shreve to the Eagles where he adds another smooth receiver and potential returner to the arsenal.
