Douglas “Bubba” Callihan
Gilmer County
The 6’0 210 multisport RB/LB is built like a brickhouse. Callihan made the most of his carries in that Bobcat Triple option offense. He only carried the ball 30 times but averaged over 13 yards per carry and finished the season with 391 yards and 6 rushing TDs, a very impressive TD per every 5 carries. He had a game high 81 yards on just 4 carries in a win over Dawson Co. Finished as one of the top 10 freshman RBs in the State. Physical guy that loves the game and projects as a college recruit at the LB spot. We saw him live at the NEGA Classic game in March and kid has a nonstop motor.
Karter Harper
Hancock Central
The multisport athlete is an intriguing prospect. Long and lean at 5’10 144, Harper has the ability to tote the ball from the RB spot or split out wide at WR. Recorded 45 carries out of the backfield last season for 387 yards and scored 2 rushing TDs. Had a season high 12 carries for 220 yards in a lose to Georgia Military. Added 23 catches last season. Solid DB prospect that has good vision and the athleticism to make plays. Plays PG/SG on the hardwood and his quickness and vision transition well to the football field. One to keep an eye on as he fills out physically over the next 3 years.
Ja’bios “Bigfoot” Smith
Swainsboro
Do you want to see a 6’3 kid run the football? Smith is definitely an imitating presence when he lines up at RB. Tall lean frame that we think probably projects more as a prospect on the defensive side of the ball as his frame fills out but no doubt has the ability to run the football, especially at the high school level. Great vision at the line of scrimmage and zigs and zags well, especially for guy with his height. Had 35 carries for 325 yards and 6 TDs last Fall. Averaged over 9 yards per carry and close to a TD every 6 times he touched the ball. Next level prospect that plays at an outstanding program known for developing talent.
Carver Columbus
Zion has a ton of upside at 6’0 215. Good size and come from football genes, dad was a former college RB. Only rushed the ball 31 times last year but his carries picked up as the season progressed. Finished the season with 288 yards with 4 rushing TDs. Had a season high 82 yards on 5 carries in a 40-0 win over Columbus. A good North/South back that can power his way through the DL and has decent speed. Physical kid that will only get better as he gets stronger over the next 3 seasons. Plays in a great program at Carver and will compete against some of the best programs in the State during his high school career. One to watch with next level potential.
