With that being said, I wanted to highlight some players at each position that deserve and are still seeking their first college offer. After already covering the quarterbacks, here are some running backs in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky that still need offers.
Giaonni Hunter Giaonni Hunter 5’11” | 210 lbs | RB Shelby County | 2025 State KY is a running back that I’m very surprised doesn’t have an offer yet. Hunter had an impressive junior year, running the ball 225 times for 1,742 yards and 17 touchdowns in 10 games. He has a nice combination of speed, strength, and elusiveness as a ball carrier, showing the ability to run away from the defense or make defenders miss in the open field. Hunter also caught seven passes for 135 yards and a touchdown this past season. He also played a key role on defense at linebacker, finishing this past season with 43 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. Hunter has received a nice amount of college interest so I expect that first offer to come his way soon.
Xavier Burks Xavier Burks 5’11” | 185 lbs | RB Fairdale | 2025 State KY is a running back that has been on my radar for a while now and continued to impress this past season. He had a strong junior year, finishing with 128 carries for 995 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games. Burks is a strong runner, showing the ability to lower his shoulder and run through defenders without breaking stride. He has also shown the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Burks also finished this past season with seven receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Xavier hasn’t reported any college interest but should definitely be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on heading into his senior year.
Chase Flaherty Chase Flaherty 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Beechwood | 2025 State KY is another ball carrier that has been on my radar for a while now that continued to stand out this past season. He had a solid junior year, running the ball 122 times for 676 yards and 16 touchdowns in 14 games. Chase has the speed to get to the outside in a hurry and also burst through the running lane with a sense of urgency and then break away from the defense for long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Flaherty also played a key role in the passing game, finishing this past season with 33 receptions for 391 yards and three touchdowns. Chase is another player that hasn’t reported any interest but should have a lot of eyes on him going into his senior year.
My final 2025 running back in this series is Cameron Rogers Cameron Rogers 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Morgan County | 2025 State KY from Morgan County. Cameron had a very impressive junior year, running the ball 127 times for 1,590 yards and 24 touchdowns in nine games. Rogers has explosive speed which he uses to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency and run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss once he hits the open field. Rogers also finished this past season with one receiving touchdown along with one punt and a kickoff returned for touchdowns. He also made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 54 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a sack. Rogers hasn’t reported any college interest but college coaches should definitely have him on their watch lists going into his final season.
