Continue ReadingBender is a player that will be a weapon on the offense for years to come; he finished the season with 807 all-purpose yards and 8 touchdowns. Carson made most of his plays on the ground, rushing for 598 yards and 6 touchdowns. He’s a smooth ballcarrier who weaves through the defense and slips out of weak tackles. After a few years to develop and add some explosiveness to his running style look for him to linger around the top of his class rankings.
Highlights
Daniels was the leading scorer for Fort Hill this past season, rushing for 1826 yards and 32 rushing touchdowns. This home run hitter left his mark on the field using his breakaway speed and ball carrying vision. He’s very aware of his cut back angles and pin balls off of tackles in the box. At 6 foot 190 pounds and running a 4.5 40, his future is looking promising if he keeps up the productivity.
Ross is the big play speedster for Fort hill’s offense, they use him out of the backfield and on kick return where he can show his acceleration. You can see him pull away on film once he puts his foot in the ground to get north and south. With only 52 carries on the season Ross showed what could be for next season, I expect a lot more nig plays out of Ross as he gets more touches. With 2 other effective ball carriers in the back field, look for fort hill to find ways to get Ross the ball in space where his speed can be highlighted.
Perkins finished the season right behind Ross in tackles with 50 tackles, making them the number one and two underclassmen leading tacklers for Fort Hill. Perkins added 3 sacks, 25 QB hurries, a forced fumble and fumble recovery on the season. The junior linebacker will be going into next season as a 3-year veteran on the defense, his name may be called a lot.
Younger is going to have a very bright future with Fort Hill. He’s a versatile athlete who shows big play ability on both sides of the ball. On defense he plays corner, he breaks on the ball well and shows strength in man-to-man coverage. He recorded 2 interceptions and 36 pass break ups. Offensively he plays running back, adding another impact player to the stable. He rushed for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns and also had an impressive receiving touchdown where he fought through two defenders to break the goal line.
