La’Mychael Gunn La’Mychael Gunn 6’3″ | 185 lbs | DB Auburn | 2025 State AL is a talented force on Auburns defense- at cornerback he’s made a huge impact the last two seasons, consistently playing a very physical brand of football out in their secondary. Gunn is very talented both in coverage and against the run. In coverage, he usually lines up outside and is very reliable- he has the athleticism to adjust and keep with receivers regardless of their skill level and frequently uses his hands to both break up passes and pick them off. Against the run, Gunn has a serious presence. He’s not afraid to do the dirty work and get involved- on tape he does a great job diagnosing run plays and pursuing after the ball carrier. With those pursuit skills, Gunn is also a very talented tackler that doesn’t let people slip by. It’s very evident how skilled Gunn is- last season he recorded 50 total tackles, 15 pass breakups, 3 interceptions on the year. Over the last year, Gunn has picked up a lot of attention from the next level- listing offers from Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern and more!
Christopher Warren Christopher Warren 6’3″ | 220 lbs | TE Hoover | 2025 State AL is a very versatile pass catching tight end for Hoover that has been one of the best at his position in the state. Warren has a variety of skills at the position, he can make some key blocks in the run game while also being a bigtime contributor as a pass catcher as well. He’s a really athletic player that can both maneuver around the field and block really well, and when the ball is in his hands, he does a lot after the catch that really helps his offense. In the redzone, Warren is also a reliable target- he’s a big guy that can high point the ball/make some really difficult, contested catches. It’s really impressive watching him play, he’s a key factor in a lot of ways for Hoover’s offense that has picked up offers from North Alabama, Southern Mississippi, and more! Keep watch of him this upcoming season, he’ll have a great year!
Zyan Gibson Zyan Gibson 6’1″ | 175 lbs | DB Gadsden City | 2026 State AL is another really talented defensive back to come out of Gadsden City that just had himself a terrific sophomore season. Gibson is seriously good in coverage, when he’s lined up in man he is a threat to opposing offenses. With his size, speed, and athleticism, he makes a lot of great plays against the pass, can cover a wide variety of receiver types, and rarely gets beat downfield by anyone. Gibson does a great job reading the field and anticipating different plays- he’s an intelligent player that finds himself in great positions to make plays frequently throughout games. Gibson has recently picked up some big offers from top tier programs- he currently lists them from Alabama, Tennessee, Memphis, and UAB! Keep watch of him as he continues to develop, he’s a terrific 2026 prospect.
Kevin Malone Kevin Malone 5’9″ | 175 lbs | ATH Vigor | 2025 State AL has made a ton of plays on both sides of the ball for Vigor the last few years and is set up for a massive senior season this fall. Malone has been a weapon for them both out of the backfield as a running back and in the secondary as a cornerback. Malone is a really athletic prospect- when he’s carrying the ball he utilizes his speed and acceleration to make a ton of plays in their running game. He can make defenders miss with how elusive he is, can take hits really well, and has a great motor that allows him to carry the ball a lot. On defense, Malone is a reliable force out in the secondary- he can make a lot of plays against the run and pass that go a long way. Recently, Malone has picked up offers from Tennessee State, Marshall, and tons of other programs- keep an eye on him this fall to watch that list grow more and more!
