If we were putting together the best Offensive and Defensive lineup possible in the state of Washington, what would that look like for the class of 2025? From a pure talent standpoint, Thumlert is one of the best in the West, making 64 tackles with 7 TFL's and 5 sacks last season .

At the D Tackle spot, you have a wrestling state champ in [player_tooltip player_id='945862' first='Connor' last='Aney'] who is able to use that ability on the interior and cause significant problems for opponents. Hauss will be a three-year starter for one of the most successful programs in the West. He is a winner, and they will need his veteran leadership next season.

The LB position is led by the top overall player in Washington in [player_tooltip player_id='348147' first='Zaydrius' last='Rainey-Sale']. The 4* will be a Sunday guy and someone recruited by everyone nationally. Playing more of an ILB role is reigning GSHL POY [player_tooltip player_id='693691' first='Nikko' last='Speer'] who led the state in tackles with 143 last year. Fellow Vancouver athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1095831' first='Kaden' last='Hamlin'] of Skyview has had an outstanding off season and has a stock which is rising quickly.

Two other hybrid type athletes who are listed at LB but can play a multitude of positions include [player_tooltip player_id='273753' first='Jonathan' last='Epperson Jr'], who may be more of a safety, and 6-3 200-pound [player_tooltip player_id='693693' first='Casey' last='Larson']. The kid out of Woodinville has some of the most impressive film in the state and Epperson Jr. has 10+ big time offers.

In the secondary the CB position features a few of the top players in the West. 3* [player_tooltip player_id='348140' first='D'Aryhian' last='Clemons'] separates himself with elite speed, with reigning 4A Washington POY [player_tooltip player_id='693687' first='David' last='Kuku'] rising quickly and closing in on double digit D1 offers. [player_tooltip player_id='945853' first='Landen' last='Kahai'] is one of the state's best overall players and will likely add a handful of additional D1 offers this off season.

The Safeties are led by two returning state champs in Bellevue standouts [player_tooltip player_id='348143' first='Ryken' last='Moon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1136301' first='Bryce' last='Smith']. Moon comboed his offensive success by making 51 tackles, with 4 INTs, and 5 tackles for loss. The 3* Smith can play the CB/S position equally well.

Anacortes is led by [player_tooltip player_id='205682' first='Brock' last='Beaner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='693730' first='Brady' last='Beaner'], both equal in talent. The undefeated state champs were nothing short of phenomenal last season with Brock making 95 tackles, with 9 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and 2 INTs. He was also a standout at the NW Collegiate Showcase at Western Oregon, the premier event in the region.
