While they would end up losing to Plantation American Heritage in the opening round, head coach Daniel Burack and his team felt that this program was ready for that next step.
In a 9-3 season, the loss to American Heritage and playoff teams North Palm Beach The Benjamin School and Boca Raton St. Andrew’s Academy only showed that with a few more pieces the Lions could continue the climb toward a state championship appearance.
As district champions, the senior class (2024) truly became the backbone of the success. But this team also found out that have quality underclassmen who were ready to step up, was also essential.
That 2025 class will now become the leaders and provide the experience and leadership needed to keep this team headed in a positive direction.
That group is ready for a solid spring and summer – and includes Corbyn Aleshire (QB, 6-1, 160), Joe Dailey (QB, 6-2, 185), Nick Darling (DE/TE, 6-2, 210), Pat Ferrante (OL/DL, 6-0, 360), Jefferson Hageman (OL/DL, 6-0, 340), Javian Jones (WR/CB, 6-2, 150), Matthew McPherson (WR/DB, 6-2, 150), and running back/linebacker Michael Mesa (5-8, 160).
The class will also feature prospects such as Kosuke Nakata (DE/TE, 5-10, 205), Aydan Ranzie (RB, 5-10, 180), Nathaniel Ray (WR/DE, 6-1, 185), Tristan Stewart (RB, 5-8, 140), and offensive lineman Christian Tesorone (5-9, 200).
UNDERCLASSMEN ARE GETTING READY
Much like this rising senior class, it will be up to the rising juniors (2026) to raise the bar and not only add depth, but frontline players as well.
That group includes Daniel Ballone (DB, 5-8, 140), Stephen Boylan (OC/MLB, 5-8, 160), Dominic Bretti (LB, 5-10, 160), Hudson Champion (DE/TE, 6-0, 185), Mark Crouch Mark Crouch 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Berean Christian | 2026 FL (WR/DB, 6-1, 180), Josiah Daboh Josiah Daboh FL (DB, 5-10, 160), Peyton Hughes (OLB, 6-0, 190), and versatile Samuel Laboy (RB/DB, 5-8, 130).
The group will also rely on Ridge Martin (OC, 5-10, 200), Tyce Porcher (QB, 6-0, 170), Carson Ruiz (OG/MLB, 5-10, 200), and Xander Stone (OG/DE, 5-9, 185).
Even rising sophomores (2027) Levi Champion (LB, 5-11, 175) and Edshawn Edouard (DL/OL, 6-2, 330) will be needed as well.
