We’ve got the details…
Lagonza Heyward – Toombs County
An explosive three-way standout who can make an impact as a receiver, defensive back, and in the return game, giving Heyward a major rankings boost was an easy decision. His recruitment took off this winter, and then the 6-foot-1 200-pounder shined during the Atlanta Under Armour Camp in February. An exceptional athlete with easy Power Five size, this small-town athlete is now ranked as the No. 41 overall prospect, and that ranking could increase even more down the road. He brings game-changing athleticism, terrific speed and agility, and natural playmaking ability. He can catch, run, jump, and has a natural feel for the game no matter where he’s lined up. He caught 26 passes last year for 727 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, the Toombs County athlete made 48 tackles, three TFLs and three INTs. Look for his stock to continue rising over the next 8 months.
Travaris Dice – Langston Hughes
One of the top OL performers in February’s Atlanta Under Armour Camp, Dice is a thick, powerful, physically imposing offensive lineman who had a dominant 2023 season for the Langston Hughes Panthers. He was a pancake machine at left tackle, consistently putting defenders on the ground. He showed fluid, balanced feet in pass protection and does a good job of handling speed rushers that try to get around him. After an excellent camp showing that came after a very impressive junior season, it was time to move Dice up toward the top of the tackles the Peach State has to offer in the 2025 class. His stock is on the rise, the offers are in, and now this Atlanta native is ranked as the No. 19 overall prospect in Georgia.
Luke Nickel Luke Nickel 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Milton | 2025 State GA – Milton
What else is there to say? When you lead your 7A team to a state championship, making big throw after big throw along way, you deserve to rise in the rankings. This multi-year starter and future Miami Hurricane showed last fall why he’s without a doubt one of the top quarterbacks not only in Georgia, but across the South for the 2025 class. He’s poised in the pocket, he’s accurate, has a live arm, and knows how to lead. There’s a lot to like about his game, and he’ll have the Eagles in a position to win another big 7A state title next season as a senior. This dual-threat 6-foot-2 205-pounder is coming off a championship season where he threw for over 3,900 yards and 39 touchdowns. He was also able to rush for just under 200 yards and six more touchdowns on the ground. Now, Nickel is ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 36 overall prospect in the state.
Jamauri Brice Jamauri Brice 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Cartersville | 2025 State GA – Cartersville
One of the top wide receiver prospects in North Georgia, Brice is now considered one of the best across the state after an eye-opening senior season. This speedy wideout brings decent size at 5-foot-10 180-pounds, but his burst, acceleration, and ball skills have helped him reel in offers from Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Tulane, among others. Now, he’s been given a big jump in the rankings, coming in at No. 39 overall in the state. He has the ability to make the “jaw-dropping” catch to go along with his ability to elude defenders down the field after the catch. He flashes big-play ability and is bound for a giant senior season. As a junior in 2023, Brice caught 34 passes for 530 yards and five touchdowns. Look for those numbers to increase in a big way in 2024. He’s a gifted wideout who can run, and he could see more offers come his way over the next few months.
