Foster Orris Foster Orris 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB West Forsyth | 2025 State GA – West Forsyth
An impressive 2025 running back from Forsyth County, this shifty 7A back is coming off a strong 2023 season where he rushed for 1,1100 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground for the Wolverines. A physical runner with a compact 5-foot-10 180-pound frame who has impressive burst and acceleration, Orris has quick feet and the ability to take off down the field when he gets to the second level. The playmaking back ran for at least 100 yards in seven games last season including each of his last three games. A natural runner and a good overall athlete, Orris can make an impact as a pass-catcher out of the backfield as he caught 18 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown. He can absolutely play somewhere at the next level and he showed it on a weekly basis last year. His best football is still ahead of him, so look for the West Forsyth back to have a big senior season in 2024.
Kevin Maven – Norcross
He may be on the smaller side, but don’t let that fool you. Maven is a shifty runner with good burst and breakaway speed. He can hide behind his offensive line and fly through a hole when one opens up. When he gets to the second level, the Norcross ball carrier can be tough to corral and showed he’s a dangerous runner in the open field. The Gwinnett County back plays against tough, 7A defenses on a weekly basis and was one of the more dependable backs in the area. He was very productive as a junior last fall, rushing for 907 yards and 8 touchdowns. He showed he can take over games as well as he rushed for over 100 yards in three different games. His best game came against Peachtree Ridge where he rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns. He’s a running back on the rise who averaged an impressive 6.5 yard per rush. Look for him to be even better in his final season in the fall.
TJ Lester – Milton
He may have helped lead the Milton Eagles to a 7A state championship last year, but for some reason, Lester is still flying under the radar. As a junior last fall, the 5-foot-10 200-pounder was very effective on the ground for the Eagles as he rushed for 744 yards and 8 touchdowns. He helped carry the load at running back and averaged a respectable 57 yards per game and 5.3 yards per rush. He’s a tough back who runs hard and has no problem bouncing off tackles. He’s a chain mover and was a reliable ball-carrier all season long for the Eagles. He even rushed for over 50 yards and a touchdown during the 7A state title victory over Walton. He shows good vision and burst for someone his size, and he should see more carries come his way as a senior in 2024. He’s definitely a 7A back flying under the radar who could have a giant senior season.
