With that being the case, I wanted to give some exposure to some of the underrated running backs in multiple classes. These guys have the talent to play at the next level with different styles and traits to choose from. Here are five running back prospects to add to your recruiting board.

Cabot running back Cooper Powell brings strength and competitiveness to the position. Powell displays good footwork, agility, patience and vision out of the backfield when attacking through the gaps and getting downfield. Very quick and agile runner with great lower body strength making him a go to, short yardage back. Powell is the type of running back that you can’t tackle up high or too low. He also can be dangerous in the receiving game, allowing him on the field on all three downs. He’s a running back that you want playing for you on Saturday’s.

Little Rock Christian running back Ronny Anokye Ronny Anokye RB Little Rock Christian | 2025 State AR brings very good vision, awareness and burst out of the backfield. A north and south runner that’s agile with the ability to cut and adjust. Good quick first step with good acceleration through the tackles. He displays good footwork & patience when finding a running lane. Anokye is a running back that you can’t tackle up high or too low. I’m excited to watch him during the 2024 season and someone you should at to your board.

Fayetteville running back Kaleb Johnson Kaleb Johnson 5’7″ | 165 lbs | RB Fayetteville | 2026 State AR brings quickness and fluidness to the position. Johnsons displays a quick first step with impressive burst through the tackles. On top of the burst, he has good lateral agility to cut outside if things are crowded at his assignment. Good speed, footwork and patience with good vision in the backfield. Johnson is someone you should immediately add to your recruiting board.

Pine Bluff running back Travis Harden Travis Harden 6’0″ | 190 lbs | RB Pine Bluff | 2025 State AR brings versatility out of the backfield. Harden displays consistency in attacking the line of scrimmage with good burst while staying north and south. Good ball vision, finding the opening while following his blockers. Has the elusiveness to catch the ball out of the backfield and gain significant yardage. Hard is someone to keep your eye on during the 2024 season.

Lakeside running back Grady Ohman Grady Ohman 5’10” | 215 lbs | RB Lakeside | 2025 State AR displays a great blend of speed and power that helps him attack north and south. Impressive vision that is on another level, finding any crease available that allows him to take it to the house. Good contact balance, footwork and patience through the LOS. He’s versatile due to him being excellent lead blocker for other ball carries or in the backfield in pass protection. You will hear his name a lot in 2024 and someone you should add to your board.
