With lightning-quick reflexes, Chestnut is known for making even the best players miss in open space, turning 2-3 yard plays into highlights.

Amarii Scurlock
Amarii Scurlock
Remember the name Amari Scurlock. An every-down RB from the Class of 2026. He possesses the perfect blend of physicality and finesse on the field. Amari has impressive strength and dedication to the weight room, making him a force to be reckoned with. He has the capability of bulldozing through would-be tacklers with power. His quick-cut ability allows him to sift through traffic effortlessly, leaving defenders in disbelief. What sets Amari apart is not just his raw athleticism but also his work ethic and determination to excel. With the ability to run through any obstacle in his path, he is set to be a dominant force on the varsity field next season.
Detaurion Pollard
Detaurion Pollard
Meet DeTaurion Pollard, a rising star in the Class of 2026. This RB faced limited playing time last year due to a standout senior on his team. However, in the moments he did play, he left a mark with his impressive display of speed, power, and all the qualities one would want in a top-tier running back.
Despite sitting behind the Senior, Pollard used every opportunity to show his potential. His powerful runs and fast bursts caught the attention of coaches and fans in attendance. It wasn’t just Pollard’s physical abilities but also his determination. He made all these things evident even when facing limited opportunities. As Pollard gears up for the upcoming season, there’s a sense of anticipation in the area for a potential breakout. With a year under his belt and the hunger to prove himself on the varsity stage, DeTaurion will be a force to be reckoned with.
Ty Jackson
Ty Jackson
Ty Jackson is another RB who will have a breakout season this year. Ty has great vision, and his ability to read blocks separates him from other RBs in this class. Despite his age, Ty shows a football IQ that is beyond his years, allowing him to anticipate gaps and make decisions that maximize yardage.
What makes Ty great is his way of seeing the field like a chessboard, analyzing the movements of his OL and reading through the defense to find the path to the end zone. His patience and understanding of the game allow him to wait for holes to develop before accelerating through them.
Whether it’s weaving through traffic or being patient for blocks, Ty’s ability to make moves has gained the attention of his coaches and teammates. As he continues to grow and work on his craft, I have no doubt he will be a featured back in Pekin’s offense next year.
