Where are they ranked in the Prep Redzone rankings?
Teddy Jarrard Teddy Jarrard 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB North Cobb Christian | 2027 State GA – North Cobb Christian
One of the state’s top young QBs, Jarrard is an up-and-coming quarterback prospect that a lot of people will know about this time last year. He’s a bigger quarterback in his class right now at 6-foot-2 180-pounds who showed impressive zip and ball placement last season. He sure didn’t look, or play like a freshman last season for his North Cobb Christian school. He commands the offense well, flashes easy arm talent, and showed in year one that he does have the potential to play at the next level. Several QBs in the 2027 class have a chance to take a big step forward this fall as a sophomore, and Jarrard definitely falls into that category. He throws a strong, but catchable ball down the field and has enough athleticism that allows him to move well in the pocket. He’s mobile enough to play some plays with his feet, but his natural arm talent should allow him to have a giant 2024 season in the fall. If he does, look for offers to come his way. Last year, the multi-sport standout threw for 2,065 yards and 18 touchdowns. Look for those numbers to take a big step forward next season. He’s currently ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 3 QB in Georgia and the No. 29 overall prospect in the state for the 2027 class.
JR Harris JR Harris 5'9" | 165 lbs | QB Central Carrollton | 2027 State GA – Central Carrollton
There’s a new quarterback in Georgia to keep a close eye on in the 2027class, and it’s the athletic, strong-armed, JR Harris JR Harris 5'9" | 165 lbs | QB Central Carrollton | 2027 State GA . A mobile quarterback with a natural feel for the position, Harris made a big impact and flashed easy D1 potential last year, starting as a freshman for a respectable Central program. A competitive, hard-working quarterback on the rise, Harris stands at 5-foot-10 175-pounds and should continue to grow over the next three years. He’ll get stronger as well, so his arm talent will only improve. If he continues to work hard and develop his craft and fundamentals this off-season, Harris has a chance to have a true breakout sophomore season in the fall. He’s mobile, athletic, and throws a nice sprial down the field. He shows consistent accuracy for his age and is coming off a strong freshman season where he went 138/198 (70%) for 1,855 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 58 times for 529 yards and seven more touchdowns. Right now, this West Georgia quarterback is ranked as the No. 27 overall prospect and the No. 2 QB prospect in Georgia. Look for some D1 offers to come his way down the road.
David “Deuce” Smith David “Deuce” Smith 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB Grayson | 2027 State GA – Grayson
There are several 2027 QBs with a big opportunity in front of them this fall, and Smith is one of them. He has a chance to earn the starting job at Grayson this fall as a sophomore, and if he does, this young gunslinger could really open some eyes. Even if he’s just in the backup role, Smith’s potential is easy to see. He showed at the freshman and JV level that he’s a natural overall athlete with a promising frame. He’s a dangerous runner, but he does bring some impressive arm talent for his age. He can throw on the run, had a good feel for the position, and wants to push the ball down the field. As he continues to grow, progress, and eventually see the field, Smith could see some D1 offers come his way down the road. He shows a lot of promise and potential, and one day he’ll be able to show off his skillset consistently on Friday nights. Right now, the young Grayson quarterback is ranked as the No. 39 overall prospect in the state for the 2027 class. With more experience and development, Smith could easily see his ranking increase in the next rankings update.
