An update on the 2025 rankings which should include a plethora of more players potentially including some of these prospects below. Then will come brand new 2026 and 2027 rankings which will prepare us for an exciting summer and fall of football in Canada.
Agyen, a CB prospect out of Alberta has some impressive tape. He showed on tape that he could impact the game in all three phases of the game while playing with good instincts and physicality. At corner, Agyen does a good job of playing with contain against the run, he shows he can be an effective tackler in the open field both defensively and on special teams. Coming downhill from Corner Agyen also does a good job of getting around blocks and using his quickness and change of directions to evade them. I like Aygen’s tape and think his special teams value would be valuable to a team at the next level.
Markus Chiodo Markus Chiodo 6’4″ | 215 lbs | TE St. Ignatius | 2025 CAD has a good frame at 6’3 and he can play on both sides of the ball as a TE/DE. Chiodo shows a solid ability as a blocker and plays with a good motor. Chiodo’s best position may be defensive end where his length and hand usage are his best traits. He shows the ability to get off blocks and make plays in the backfield. Chiodo has good tape but it is tape that is over a year old, he shows some intriguing traits that would give him some looks at being ranked. More updated tape or a strong season this fall could make Chiodo a prospect on the rise to watch.
Kaylob Thibodeau Kaylob Thibodeau 5’11” | 225 lbs | RB Korah | 2025 CAD is a fullback prospect who is a physical powerful runner. In short area situations, there are not many better in Canada at gaining the necessary yardage than Thibodeau. He is sneaky fast and has a slim lower half with quick feet. Thibodeau consistently moves his feet when he runs, falling forward and often dragging tacklers forward. With a low center of gravity he is really difficult to bring down unless you go for his ankles and with his quick feet he does a good job of evading those tackles. An impressive FB prospect who can bring much more to the run game than you would expect out of a normal fullback.
Wetherell out of Cochrane has a good frame at 6’4 270lbs and the tackle prospect shows some physical mauling blocks in his tape. He is a lean 270lbs and showcases athleticism on tape. He can move laterally well and does a good job of using his strength and explosive first punch to finish blocks. In pass protection, Wetherell has good feet, and his length and upper body strength make it hard to get around or through as a defender. Wetherell plays with good pad level and leverage showcasing his natural ability to bend and win with fundamentals. Wetherell should be making a high debut in the rankings when it comes time to update the 2025 group.
