Jake Mulhern
Kettle Run fans know all about Jake Mulhern, he is a 3 sport star athlete for the Cougars in football, basketball and baseball. Do not let his size full you, Mulhern is one of the top quarterbacks in Virginia for the class of 2025, just watch his tape and you will understand. All he did was throw for 24 touchdown passes in his junior season while leading the Cougars to the state title game. He is tough, fast and can play multiple positions (he returns kickoffs too), please do not look at his size, this kid is the real deal. Check out his tape below and see for yourself, this young man has the tools to play on Saturdays.
Ethan Ball

The Virginia Tech baseball commit and McLean star quarterback Ethan Ball has been committed to the Hokies since his freshman year but that doesn’t mean he can’t sling it. Throwing for 2o touchdowns in his junior season this dude can play, reminds me of Will Levis the way he steps up and moves around in the pocket. A tremendous athlete Ball is also a tough free safety for the Highlanders and has run a 4.75 40. The All American baseball star is living proof that playing multiple sports in high school can only help you and your development.
Transferring in from Skyline the Fairfax Lions have their new quarterback ready to take them back to the postseason. Mrad is a beast who earned 2nd team all district honors last year in the Hawks run heavy offense. While the young man can scoot, the lefty passer can sling it too throwing for 11 touchdowns in his junior campaign. A workhorse both on and off the field, Mrad has a 3.55 GPA and will be playing college football in 2025. Fairfax is a run first team as well so him stepping in and leading the Lions to new heights should be a problem.

Jackson Scaperotto
Jackson Scaperotto
Robinson had a tough go last season finishing 3-7 but they finished strong winning 3 of their last 5 games. They have some nice building blocks to compete in 2024 and Jackson Scaperotto is one of them. Scaperotto is no slouch at 6’1 and 175 lbs., he has good footwork in and out of the pocket and may be one of the faster quarterbacks in the conference. Running a 4.7 40 you see his speed translate on the field as he is constantly under duress having to make several plays while on the run.
I cannot wait to see how the Warhawks transition this off-season behind Yates and a few other studs. Stepping in last fall to lead Madison all the way to the state semi-finals was very impressive, it will be interesting to see how he handles replacing stars like his brother Cord Yates Cord Yates 5’9″ | 160 lbs | WR James Madison | 2024 State VA and Darren Knicely. He received several of my weekly game balls last season here is what I wrote after his regular season performance:
While not winning their district this regular season the Warhawks title aspirations are far from over and Cael Yates Cael Yates 5’9″ | 160 lbs | QB James Madison | 2025 State VA and company proved that last week. The younger brother of standout 2024 wideout Cord Yates Cord Yates 5’9″ | 160 lbs | WR James Madison | 2024 State VA , Cael had a great outing in Madison dominating win over Langley. Accounting for three touchdown passes Yates is not to be overlooked on a loaded roster with division 1 prospects all around. He will have his hands full this week facing Mclean but just as his squad has done all year, expect him and the Warhawks to take the adversity on with flying colors.
