Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Andre Bailey- Palmer Trinity High c/o 26
Bailey had a good sophomore season leading the Falcons to a 6-4 record, district championship, and into the State Playoffs. Bailey was the top quarterback in the district throwing for 1570 yards, completed 59% of his passes with 18 touchdowns. He also rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown. Bailey will be the top returning quarterback in the district in 2024.
Strengths:
- Anticipation and accuracy on 2nd level throws
- Flashes good touch and ball placement on throws to the numbers
- Shows good speed when he takes off out of the pocket
Jacob Villa- Somerset Academy South Homestead c/o 26
5’7
Villa was a first-year starter and showed improvement throughout the season for the Hurricanes. He finished second in the district in passing with 818 yards, completing 67% of his passes with 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Strengths:
- Dual-threat abilities
- Quick decision maker
- Good job stepping up in the pocket and throwing strikes
Jeramiah Lee- Palm Glades Prep Academy c/o 29
6’1 150lbs
Lee is an up-and-coming prospect in the district. He started as a a 7th grader! Lee finished third in the district throwing for 650 yards, completing 62% of his passes with 3 touchdowns in 7 games! Lee has the potential to be the best quarterback in the district next season. I’ll be keeping an eye on him this spring.
Strengths:
- High upside
- Flashes touch and accuracy
Ryan Castro- Archbishop Carroll High c/o 24
5’9 183lbs
Castro was outstanding this season leading the Bulldogs to an 11-2 record, district championship, and into the State Semifinals. Castro finished fourth in the district throwing for 277 yards, completing 60% of his passes with 4 touchdowns. He also finished second on the team in rushing with 1240 yards and 9 touchdowns!
Strengths:
- Athleticism to play multiple positions at the next level
- Vision
- Good feet and acceleration through the hole
