Doing these analysis allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Jaylen Pettway Jaylen Pettway 6'3" | 220 lbs | QB Ed White Highschool | 2024 FL – Ed White High c/o 24
6’3 220lbs
Pettway was really good in 2023 leading the Commanders to a 7-5 record and into the State Playoffs. Pettway led the district in passing with 1870 yards, completing 63% of his passes with 13 touchdowns. He also rushed for 203 yards and 3 touchdowns. Pettway signed with Valdosta State.
Strengths:
- Timing on 1st and 2nd level throws
- Arm talent to make every throw on the field
- Toughness to stand in the pocket and take hits
Glenn Foreman lll- Riverside High/o 25
6’2 180lbs
Foreman was impressive leading the Generals to a 9-3 record, district championship, and into the Regional Semifinals of the State playoffs. Foreman finished second in the district throwing for 1622 yards, completing 52% of his passes with 21 touchdowns. Foreman earned second team All-District in 2023. He’ll be one of the top returning quarterbacks in the district next season.
Strengths:
- Plays with poise and is calm under pressure
- Athleticism to maneuver out of the pocket and find open our receivers downfield
- Ball jumps out of his hand
Heyward Smith Jr.- Westside High c/o 25
5’10
Smith showed continuous improvement for the Wolverines throughout the year. He finished third in the district throwing for 1000 yards, completing 46% of his passes with 5 touchdowns. He also rushed for 502 yards and 5 touchdowns. I will be keeping an eye on Smith’s development over the Spring.
Strengths:
- Dual-threat
- Good burst and acceleration
- Flashes ability on 2nd level and 3rd level throws
Jaidan Delaune Jaidan Delaune 6'1" Riverside | 2027 FL – Riverside High c/o 27
6’2 166lbs
Delaune is an up-and-coming prospect and showed a lot of ability throughout the season. He played in 10 games as a freshman and finished fourth in the district throwing for 606 yards, completed 52% of his passes with 9 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown. Delaune is a player on the rise is receiving interest from schools like West Florida.
Strengths:
- Very quick release
- Arm strength to drive the ball through tight windows
- High upside
