This week, Prep Redzone Scout Drew Johnson will highlight instrumental recruits who have consistently produced this season. As noted frequently, Prep Redzone Florida aims to provide adequate coverage of all athletes for college coaches At All Levels and readers to evaluate. Let’s get into some of the stats, Hudl films, and recent offers from some of the rising recruits in the state of Florida.
QB:
Jershaun Newton Jershaun Newton 6'0" | 205 lbs | ATH Clearwater Central Catholic | 2025 State FL | QB | 2025 | CCC | @JershaunN
This kid has developed into one of the top athletes in the area. He’s led CCC to a 25-2 record in the past two seasons and has the opportunity to win a state championship while playing one of the top teams in the country. Newton is a true threat with his legs as the junior totaled a team-high 1,020 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns on the ground. Any college coaches looking for Real Dea Dual-Threats, tap in with this one.
Bjorn Jergensen | QB | 2025 | Bishop Moore | @Jurgensen17
2023 stats: 41 total TDs – 2466 yards passing (29 TDs) – 632 yards rushing (12 TDs) – *3098 Total yards
This kid is about hard work! Always see him taking advantage of QB training sessions and camp opportunities which have helped put this name on the map while playing with a talented Bishop Moore program during the regular season. At 6-3, 185 pounds, Jergensen’s time is coming to show he can lead an offense at the next level.
Salomon Georges Jr | QB | Class of 2025 | Leesburg | @SalomonJR17
2023 stats: 2209 yards – 29 TD – 4 rushing TD
Georges was a part of the Leesburg offensive engine that rolled over opposing defenses this season. Have to get my eyes on Georges whenever the opportunity presents itself this off-season during 7v7 or college camps. He can move an offense down the field with his deadly scrambling ability or accurate deep ball shots.
RB:
Josh Perry | RB | 2025 | Edgewater | @joshua3perry
2023 stats: 182 rushes 1000+ yards – 11 rushing TDS (12 total tds)
Came away really impressed with the overall upside of Perry after watching him compete during this 7v7 circuit. Perry has a good frame and skill set to make an early impact for his new school of Edgewater next season who boasts a talented roster heading into the spring. Look out for Perry to pop on the recruiting scene this season.
Sean Cuono Sean Cuono 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Clearwater Calvary Christian | 2025 State FL | RB | 2025 | Calvary Christian | @seancuono
2023 stats: 145 rushes – 1024 yards – 8 TD
Cuono is a versatile running back prospect who had a productive year on the ground in his junior season. The 5-11, 190-pound Calvary product helped his team to a 10-3 finish as he’s another elite prospect that can lock in major Power 5 interest during the offseason.
WR:
Tyler Williams Tyler Williams 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Riverview Sumner | 2025 State FL | WR | 2025 | Sumner | @TJgokrazzy
What a year Williams put together as he showed off his ability to be the Real Deal at wideout in his junior season. This kid has big play written on his sleeve because of his blazing speed and sticky glue hands. Williams will certainly be a big-time recruit and make a college coach happy at the next level.
Isaiah Mizell Isaiah Mizell 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Orlando Boone | 2025 State FL | WR | Class of 2025 | Boone | @IsaiahMizell
The younger brother of Florida Gators WR Aidan Mizell is making a name for himself this junior season with Boone High as he’s recorded 35 receptions for 714 receiving yards and 17 TDs as the regular season concludes.
Josh Robinson Josh Robinson 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Clearwater Calvary Christian | 2025 FL | WR | 2025 | Calvary | @Rob03Black
2023 stats: 52 receptions – 1083 yards – 13 TD
Robinson broke Calvary’s single-season reception record in his junior season while showing off his electric big-play ability at 5-9. Plenty of upside for Robinson to create interest around his recruitment.
