Kearney Catholic’s Javier Copley Javier Copley 6’0″ | 215 lbs | DL Kearney Catholic | 2027 NE was a pleasant surprise in this go-around of film-watching. Javier earned a role on varsity, playing a DT/NG position. Copley plays with a strong base that allows him to stonewall blockers and drive them off their spots before ripping away to pursue the ball. He has a nice get-off which he follows with explosive hands. Great motor! Excited to see where Javier is at in three years!
A varsity starter on the Crusader’s offensive line, Will Maser Will Maser 6’1″ | 215 lbs | OL Grand Island Central Catholic | 2027 NE had several flashes of upside through his freshman campaign. Will started at left guard, showing he could take the fight to his opponents. Will is a player who looks to end his blocks with pancakes and certainly has the strength to do so. There is still some rawness to his game, but with three more seasons to go, Will can definitely develop into a great prospect.
Highlights
Playing up on JV, Nebraska City’s Xavier Moore Xavier Moore 6’1″ | 220 lbs | OL Nebraska City | 2027 NE showed a ton of promise on the OL. Starting at left tackle, did a great job both as a pass protector and run blocker. Moore shows a nice burst to get up to the second level to clear out linebackers and open run lanes. Xavier moves laterally very well while doing a great job mirroring defenders. He showed a bit of a mean streak when engaged with defenders and will often look to finish off the block. Xavier could be up for a starting spot on the varsity squad if he continues building on an already impressive skillset.
