Coming off an 8-3 record, the Lions lost a number of key seniors who helped this team win a district and more than hold their own during the 2023 season.
The key to this spring and summer for this team is to do what they have done in the past – attend everything possible to compete against the best teams and players in Florida.
While duplicating this past season won’t be easy, the rising senior class (2025) will have plenty to say how this program builds and develops.
With prospects such as Augustin Charcap (DL, 6-1, 200 – 3.2 GPA), Hunter Clark (LB, 6-0, 190 – 3.7 GPA), Jerome Curry (QB, 5-9, 170 – 3.0 GPA), Dylan Edwards Dylan Edwards 5'7" | 160 lbs | ATH Winter Park Lake Howell | 2025 FL (Athlete, 5-9, 175 – 3.7 GPA), standout Joseph Gioa (LB, 5-9, 200 – 3.5 GPA), and Gavin Gonzalez (OL, 6-2, 215 – 3.1 GPA), things look more than promising.
Add in Jaylen Lewis (DB, 5-9, 160 – 3.0 GPA), Aidan Mahaffey (LB, 6-0, 205 – 3.5 GPA), Brady Manning Brady Manning 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Oviedo | 2025 FL (FS, 5-9, 175 – 4.0 GPA), Travis McNeil (DB, 6-1, 170 – 3.0 GPA), Messiah Montgomery (DL, 6-2, 200 – 3.0 GPA), Chance Nixon (RB, 5-9, 160 – 3.5 GPA), Braden Olsson (DB, 5-11, 175 – 3.2 GPA), Nathan Tveit (OL, 6-2, 290 – 4.0 GPA) and outside linebacker Anthony White (OLB, 6-2, 190 – 2.7 GPA) and things look promising.
WHAT WILL THE UNDERCLASSMEN BRING?
While the rising senior class will be very important in the 2024 season, keep an eye on the rising junior (2026) – where Jackson Anderson (WR, 5-10, 165 – 4.0 GPA), Samri Chisom (SS, 5-10, 175 – 3.3 GPA), Emilliano Galarza (Athlete, 5-9, 175 – 3.3 GPA), Laron Hargrave (TE, 6-1, 190), Miguel Hernandez (OL, 6-2, 230), Brock Joyce (Athlete, 6-2, 185 – 2.7 GPA), and receiver Kyle Olson (6-0, 175 – 4.0 GPA) are ready.
With Sebastien Perez (OL, 6-2, 225 – 3.0 GPA), Keaton Renk (DL, 5-11, 210 – 3.0 GPA), Bruce Slivinski (WR, 6-1, 150 – 3.0 GPA), and offensive lineman Micah Thorpe (6-1, 250 – 3.0 GPA), there are several frontline players along with much needed depth.
Even prospects in the Class of 2027 are anxious to make a contribution with Johnnie Cobbs (RB, 5-10, 175 – 2.8 GPA), Devin Coleman (FS, 6-0, 145 – 3.9 GPA), Carmari Colomon (DB, 5-9, 135 – 4.0 GPA), Jordan Danahoo (WR, 6-3, 165 – 4.0 GPA), Mason DeSoto (LB, 5-8, 200 – 3.1 GPA), Sebastian Gelano (QB, 6-0, 185 – 4.0 GPA), and cornerback Brian Murmiwa (5-9, 150 – 3.5 GPA) looking to have a solid spring and summer.
