Boonville
– One of the top offensive line prospects in his class, Ellison (6’4″ 270) is a three sport athlete, competing in basketball amd track as well. He played a lot on varsity as a freshman, and continued his upward trajectory in his sophomore season. Braylen has good feet and quickness. He shows good punch and uses his hands well in both his pass and run blocking, and has good strength. Ellison has the frame to be an athletic 300 pounds by the time he graduates. While he’s still raw, he has all the tools to be a D1 prospect in a couple of years as he continues to develop. His Dad is a former Mizzou star and NFL player.

RB
Moberly
– A compact and powerful runner with speed, Tiger (5’9″ 195) had a big sophomore season as one of the top rushers while rushing for over 1,300 yards and 20 touchdowns, and reeling off some big games with multiple touchdown games. Ka’Von ran past, around and through defenders all season using great vision, quickness and jack hammer feet to make life hard on defenders trying to tackle him. He also has very good pass catching ability, and uses his ability to make defenders miss to pick up yards after the catch. He is also a talented returner. He’s going to be a marked man as a junior by opposing defenses

Blair Oaks
– One of the best all around football players in the state regardless of class in 2023. Dapkus (6’1″ 175) excelled on offense as a running back and receiver, on defense as a defensive back, and on special teams as a returner. He played at Southern Boon as a sophomore but has since transferred to Blair Oaks in Jefferson City. Brady is a playmaker wherever he is on the field. He showed good speed, burst, vision, cutting ability and ability to accelerate when needed as a runner and kick returner. He has good hands and can make yards after the catch as a receiver. And has good ball skills and tackling and playmaking ability as a defensive back. He totaled 31 touchdowns overall – 19 rushing – 9 receiving and 3 returning, while rushing for over 1,200 yards and having over 500 yards receiving. He also had 15 tackles and 3 interceptions at DB.

Helias
– Also a talented basketball player, the (6’6″ 230) Wood’s athleticism translates well to the football field both at TE and DE. On offense he is a good blocker who get good drive, is physical and sustains his blocks. He has good and runs well enough to get down field and be a big target for his QB in the red zone or on short passes. Defensively he has good get off and gets up field quickly to attack the quarterback off the edge. I look for a real potentially breakout season for him on the football field.

QB
Tolton
– Another player who saw limited playing time but has the athleticism and potential for a breakout season is the (6’2″ 185) Hervey. He played behind a senior signal-caller who will be playing college football. Brendan has the skill set as a QB to put himself in a similar position when his time comes as he looks like he’ll be the starter. He moves well, has good feet and technique, and a strong arm. He can also make plays with his feet.

Southern Boone
– Endsley (6’3″ 230) is physical, tough and has a quick first step and good explosion off the ball. He does a nice job fighting through and shedding blocks to make plays. He played varsity as a freshman and tested well at the 2023 Elite Combine showing good speed and quickness. He has the ability to play with his hand down or at linebacker. Hayden has shown good hands and timing as a defender.
