Head Coach Pat Herrington and the Hornets dropped a state playoff game to Lake Minneola, which not only sent them into the off-season with a bad taste, but the way they performed much of the season was enough to drive this program this spring and into the summer.
That 6-5 record had plenty of meaning, especially for a team that won four of the last five games after and lost two early season games by a combined 12 points.
There is plenty of talent coming back in all the classes, and that is what this program is banking on to get back to the state playoffs next fall.
