Smaller ball carriers are stereotyped to have to be fast and gimmicky in the pass game. These guys all have a special talent in their own right. Get to know them below and review notes.
Thomas Morris- 5’7 150 lbs
- runs behind pads with controlled lean
- good vision and doesn’t waste time finding daylight
- plays with energy and has quick feet
Made plays on both sides of the ball. Big competitor who understands the game.
Sevin Domingue- 5’8 150 lbs
- great hips and feet. change directions really well
- nice ball skills, wants to make a big play every time he touches it
- strong with good speed. finishes runs
Once this kid is seen by more people his stock will go up. He has a nice game and will create mismatches vs slower opponents.
Highlights
Landon Roberts- 5’7 135 lbs
- nice burst. builds speed quickly
- good option in passing or scene game. soft hands
- great contact balance. first defender usually wont make play
Plays with a chip and once he decides to put his foot in the ground, that’s it.
Highlights
Isaiah Brown- 5’8 160 lbs
- runs hard and eats up yardage quickly, especially up the middle
- a nose for the end zone. uses weapons to create space and opportunity by being physical
- good enough speed to get past the numbers and up the sideline
I like his proportioned frame built for all phases of the game.
Ya’Lin Lee
- he fast, fast. love the acceleration
- solid contact balance. legs never stop. fights for the hidden yards.
- can be a threat out of the backfield. good IQ
Track type in pads. Plays fast and makes plays. Will be fun to watch develop at next level.
