The report below will be an overview of the six ranked players from Wichita Northwest, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, and Wichita Southeast. Report #2 will cover the six players from Wichita West and Wichita East.
The highest ranking player in this report is Kyle Keya Kyle Keya 6'5" | 205 lbs | DL Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2025 State KS , 6’4, 210, DL from Kapaun who climbed the rankings to #36. He is coming off a standout junior campaign, helping the team to an 11-2 record and making 2nd Team All-Conference as a defensive lineman. He and teammate Austin Howard Austin Howard 6'1" | 185 lbs | LB Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2025 State KS , 6’1, 195, LB, who is also in the rankings at #75, will be counted on to spearhead a physical KMC defense in the coming season.

Wichita Northwest
Brady Johnson Brady Johnson 6'1" | 225 lbs | DL Wichita NW | 2025 State KS , 6’2, 230, DL, Northwest rises to #76 in the rankings after a standout season in the trenches. He achieved Honorable Mention All-Conference for his play along the defensive line as a big-time play wrecker. He finds the ball quick, splits defenders routinely and seems to always be around the ball.
Franklin Ekue Franklin Ekue 5'10" | 195 lbs | ATH Wichita Northwest | 2025 State KS , 5’10, 195, ATH, Northwest hit the rankings at #261. He is an all-around athlete who can run, catch the ball out of the backfield, return kicks, and also handle kicking duties. Made 1st-Team All-Conference last year as the City League kicker and as a runner has a quick burst. He is also elusive as a receiver and catches the ball well in traffic.
Quavon Harris Quavon Harris 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB Wichita Northwest | 2025 State KS , 6’0, 190, LB, Northwest climbs into the rankings at #265 after a stellar junior season in which he was a 1st Team All-Conference linebacker and Honorable Mention All-State. He is a physical presence on the field who reads the play exceptionally quick and flies to the ball. Last year piled up 82 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, and three fumble recoveries.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel
Kyle Keya Kyle Keya 6'5" | 205 lbs | DL Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2025 State KS , 6’4, 210, DL, KMC continues to move up the rankings and is currently at #36. He is a physical force anywhere he plays on the line and is particularly explosive coming off the edge. He finds the ball quickly and delivers a blow on contact. Will be counted on to lead another strong Kapaun defense in the upcoming season.
Austin Howard Austin Howard 6'1" | 185 lbs | LB Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2025 State KS , 6’1, 190, LB, KMC is close behind his teammate at #75. As another force to be reckoned with on the KMC defensive front, made Honorable Mention All-Conference as a linebacker. He gets to the ball in a hurry and blows up the hole on running plays. Along with Keya will be making it tough on opposing offenses in 2024.
Wichita Southeast
Micah Fiscus Micah Fiscus 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Wichita Southeast | 2025 State KS , 5’10, 170, QB, Southeast – hits the rankings at #191 after a solid breakthrough season. He was Honorable Mention All-Conference after passing for just under 600 yards and five touchdowns, including a long of 71 yards. He throws the football well on the run and has excellent touch on the long pass.
