After breaking down some explosive wide receiver talent, it’s time to continue to focus on the offensive side of the ball as we take a look at some impactful under the radar running backs in Kentucky to watch for.
In the first place spot on my list is Cameron Bulle Cameron Bulle 6’1″ | 185 lbs | RB Glasgow | 2026 KY , a running back at Glasgow High School. In addition to outstanding breakaway speed and durability, what impresses me the most about Bulle is his ability to maneuver the defense in the pocket. I also like how Bulle utilizes his size and footwork to dodge and weave tackles. Bulle’s ability to break free into enemy territory from along the edge also stands out.

I am additionally impressed with Jeffrey Vazzana Jeffrey Vazzana 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Christian Academy of Louisville | 2026 State KY , a running back at Christian Academy of Louisville. What makes Vazzana so impactful is his ability to use his strength to blast past the defense in the pocket. I also like how Vazzana can pick up speed down the stretch and utilize his size to escape defenders, proving he can create solid seperation in the backfield and barrel over defenders on his way to the house.
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Ali Hamdiyah Ali Hamdiyah 5’10” | 195 lbs | RB Scott County | 2025 State KY , a running back at Scott County High School. On top of electric speed off the snap, what impresses me about Hamdiyah is his ability to be durable in the pocket and find openings to slip into the open field. I also like Hamdiyah’s ability to lock in at the goal line, proving he can withstand heavy defensive pressure and march into the endzone for the touchdown.
Another skilled prospect to keep an eye on is David Anderson David Anderson 6’0″ | 190 lbs | RB Dixie Heights | 2025 State KY , a running back at Dixie Heights High School. What stands out the most about Anderson’s playstyle is his explosiveness on the run, showcasing his physicality and ability to force his way into the backfield. I also like Anderson’s ability to seperate himself from the defense in the open field, using bursts of speed to quickly march into the endzone.

Coming in at number five on my list is John Hammond V John Hammond V 5’7″ | 170 lbs | RB Pleasure Ridge Park | 2025 KY , a running back at Pleasure Ridge Park High School. Hammond impresses me with his electric speed and footwork, showing off his ability to juke out the defense and slip into the backfield. I also like how Hammond takes advantage of space from along the edge, proving his shiftiness on the ground and ability to put points on the scoreboard.

Also worth mentioning is Lamar Hockersmith Lamar Hockersmith 5’10” | 180 lbs | ATH Ballard | 2026 KY , a running back at Ballard High School. Hockersmith impresses me with his quick execution off the snap and ability to blast past the defense in the pocket, utilizing his electric speed and physicality to break tackles and force his way into enemy territory. I also like Hockersmith can dodge and weave the defense in the backfield, using his size to break tackles.
