Continue ReadingLast week I highlighted the top uncommitted class of 2024 defensive players in British Columbia to provide a little bit of a refresher of the talent which means this week we are going to look at the top uncommitted 2024 offensive players in B.C. starting with the best lineman in Western Canada Dejan Guzina Dejan Guzina 6'7" | 345 lbs | OL Clarkson Football North | 2025 State CAD .
Dejan Guzina Dejan Guzina 6'7" | 345 lbs | OL Clarkson Football North | 2025 State CAD (Seaquam) – OL
Coming in at 6’7″ 345lbs, Dejan Guzina Dejan Guzina 6'7" | 345 lbs | OL Clarkson Football North | 2025 State CAD is an absolute force on the offensive line. Dejan is a monster in the run game as he routinely creates massive holes for his running back. Dejan played primarily in a zone run scheme in which he excelled as he has excellent movement ability but he also had success on gap scheme runs as he can get downhill to second level in an instant. Dejan is also very good in pass protection as he has very good lateral movement for someone with his size. He can improve on getting more vertical in his pass set to drop an anchor as he has a tendency to become too horizontal in his pass set which forces him to have to reach to get hands on which allows defensive ends to go by him. Dejan has multiple CIS offers but based on his physical tools and on field tape there is no reason Dejan shouldn’t hold multiple Division One FBS offers.
Brody Munro Brody Munro 6'6" | 315 lbs | OL G.W. Graham | 2024 State CAD (G.W. Graham) – OL
Brody Munro Brody Munro 6'6" | 315 lbs | OL G.W. Graham | 2024 State CAD is another monster on the offensive line as he is listed at 6’6″ 315lbs and was just destroying opponents this past season. Brody is very good at run blocking as he is incredibly strong and smart but his best trait is his mobility as he runs a 5.24s shuttle time combined with a forty yard dash time of 5.56s. He uses his speed to be able to open up multiple holes in a zone run scheme as well as being able to get to the second level with ease when pulling. One area that he can improve is that he does come in a little high when goes to make his run blocks relying on his strength a little to much which could lead him to get out leveraged at the next level. He is an excellent pass blocker as he has a great pass set and is the best in the province at using his hands to keep defensive lineman at bay. Brody is an excellent prospect with a Division One offer as well as multiple CIS offers but he should have more then one Division One offer.
Lucas Shannon Lucas Shannon 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Clarkson Football North | 2025 State CAD (Seaquam) – RB
Lucas Shannon Lucas Shannon 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Clarkson Football North | 2025 State CAD was a force this past season on offense as he finished his senior season with over 2000 scrimmage yards leading the province by a considerable margin. Coming in at 5’11” 190lbs, Lucas is an every down back who has the ability to line up as a receiver as well as being able to run routes out of the backfield that are very high level and diverse for a running back. As a running back Lucas played primarily in a heavy zone run scheme to much success as he led the province in rushing with over 1300 yards in 6 regular season games. He is a very strong, sturdy back who bounces off of defenders with regularity and combines really impressive lower body strength, pad level and mentality to always fight for extra yards on every single down. He is also an excellent pass blocker as he uses his smarts and compete to help shore up the pocket for the quarterback. Lucas is the best pure running back in class of 2024 from B.C. and the fact that he only holds one CIS offer is hard to fathom as he should have not only multiple CIS offers but even a few from FCS level programs.
Hudson Bromley Hudson Bromley 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Vancouver College | 2024 State CAD (Vancouver College) – RB
Hudson Bromley Hudson Bromley 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Vancouver College | 2024 State CAD is a great running back who is above average at everything that he does on the football field. Listed at 6’0″ 205lbs, Hudson is your prototypical downhill, power running back as he has an impressive ability to quickly recognize the correct hole and to get there in a hurry before any defenders can fill. Hudson is also someone who has the speed to separate in the open field while also being able to make quick cuts to find the green grass and reach the open field before using his speed to get in the endzone. He is also an excellent pass blocker as he can use his strength and smarts to give his quarterback the extra time he needs. Hudson holds many CIS offers but his ability to be good at so many different aspects of the running back position should allow him to get some late FCS level offers.
Carter Dallas (G.W. Graham) – WR
Carter Dallas is the most talented receiver in the 2024 class thanks to his great 4.78s forty speed and his excellent route running. Carter is electric as a receiver as he is just so explosive and twitchy which allows him to be able to win in a multitude of ways. He can burn straight by you with his speed or he can drop his hips to use varied acceleration to win on his route. He is also a smooth runner who can get in and out of breaks with ease which allows him to run every route on the route tree. He also has a 35 inch vertical which allows to win at the catch point if he doesn’t win with his route running or physical tools. Carter is someone who should have an offer from every single possible CIS school as well as multiple FCS level offers.
Fin Nemeth (Carson Graham) – WR
The statistical leader at the receiver position in British Columbia this past season Fin Nemeth is an exceptional receiver prospect for the 2024 class. Fin is a route running tactician, he can cut in an instant, he can drop his hips to be sudden at an impressive level and Fin can vary his speed to find the soft spots in zone. Fin has also showed the ability to beat press clean thanks to a great release off the line as well as the ability to always be an outlet for his quarterback. Fin doesn’t have overwhelming physical tools which is why I project him as an excellent slot receiver at the next level but he does have sneaky speed that allows him to separate on vertical routes against man coverage. Fin only has one CIS offer but based on the tape there is no reason he shouldn’t have his pick of CIS schools to play at as well as some FCS schools.
Finn Teasdale (Vancouver College) – QB
Finn Teasdale is the best quarterback in the class of 2024 out of British Columbia thanks to his great pocket mobility and throwing prowess. Finn is an excellent athlete as he runs a 4.7s forty and it pops on tape. Finn routinely keeps his eyes downfield when facing pressure as he is a scrambler not a runner as a quarterback. He displays excellent pocket mobility as he has often displayed his ability to reset and relocate the pocket before setting his feet to throw. Finn is a very good processer who can go through his reads quickly before finding the open receiver. He also has the arm strength to make all of the throws that is required at the next level. He can unlock even more accuracy if he were to shorten up his throwing motion as it is currently a bit long but is easily correctable. Finn is someone who has starting quarterback upside at the CIS level thanks to his physical tools and very good processing ability which if you watch the tape should get him CIS offers.
