Four of the state’s top 2024 prospects verbally committed to ENMU: Rio Rancho LB Ryan Brown Ryan Brown 5'11" | 210 lbs | LB Rio Rancho | 2024 State NM , Deming DB A.J. Flores, Rio Rancho OLB/DB Andrew Gustafson Andrew Gustafson 6'0" | 175 lbs | LB Rio Rancho | 2024 State NM and Cleveland LB Isaac Medrano Isaac Medrano 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Cleveland | 2024 State NM .
A total of five New Mexico prospects in the 2024 signing class have committed to the Greyhounds since the beginning of the year. Centennial QB Daniel Hernandez Daniel Hernandez QB Centennial | 2024 State NM committed to ENMU earlier this month.
All four of the newest commitments play on the defensive side of the ball. Brown, one of the state’s top linebackers, had 83 tackles, 5.0 TFL, 8 QB hurries, 9 passes defended and 1 INT for the Rams this past season. He possesses good speed, mobility and toughness. Flores made 76 tackles and 3 INT for the Wildcats defense.
Gustafson was a tackling machine for the Rams in 2023 as he finished with 114 tackles, 5.0 TFL , 8.0 QB hurries and 9 passes defended. Medrano helped lead Cleveland tot he Class 6A state championship game with 71 tackles, 9.0 TFL and 2 sacks in 11 games.
