QBs Poised to Lead Next Fall

Time is flying by, so with that, let's take a look at four Senior QBs returning in 2024.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='648939' first='Kamario' last='Taylor'] | Noxubee County | QB </h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor is 6'5" tall and 165 lbs. Kamario had a terrific junior season in 2023. He is a true duel-threat QB who can beat you with his arms and legs. He has excellent vision and always seems to be 1 step ahead of the opposing defense. In 2023, Taylor on the ground had 82 carries for 789 yards and 15 touchdowns. As great as he was running the ball, his ability to throw the ball made him stand out. He completed 186 passes for 3,282 yards for 45 touchdowns and only five interceptions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1126782' first='Jevarion' last='Glover'] | Amanda Elzy | QB</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Glover is 6'3" tall and 175 lbs. Jevarion has a cannon for an arm and is not afraid to use it. Glover has a great pocket presence and does a great job of checking the ball down when needed. In 2023, Glover had 115 carries for 1135 yards and 15 touchdowns. He completed 144 passes for 3,047 yards through the air for 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='289137' first='Garrison' last='Davis'] | Holmes County Central | QB</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Davis is 5'11" tall and 182 lbs. 2023 was a breakout season for Davis and Holmes County Central. The Jaguars made a deep run in the playoffs following their field general, [player_tooltip player_id='289137' first='Garrison' last='Davis']. Davis is a true do-it-all player who leads by example. In 2023, Davis on the ground had 80 carries for 896 yards and nine touchdowns. He completed 154 passes for 2,508 yards for 28 touchdowns and only three interceptions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='350919' first='Wyatt' last='Bond'] | Lamar School | QB</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bond is 6'1" tall and 185 lbs. Bond lit the MAIS up in 2023 through the air. Wyatt is a lot of fun to watch, with one of the best throwing motions I have seen. He throws a pretty tightrope spiral ball. His throwing motion reminds me of a shortstop throwing the baseball across the diamond to first base. In 2023, Bond rushed the ball 36 times for 46 yards. He completed 191 passes for 2,491 yards for 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">U'darrian Hickman | Union | QB</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hickman is 6'3" tall and 185 lbs. Hickman is a special talent. He is going to have the opportunity to play at the next level when he finishes up his high school eligibility. U'darrian is the type of player that the defense must have a plan for on every snap. He can beat the opposing team on the ground or in the air. He makes good, fast decisions with the ball and puts his team in the best position to win. In 2023, Hickman rushed the ball 97 times for 603 yards and 4 touchdowns. He completed 136 passes for 2,403 yards with 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
