We saw multiple prospects turn heads throughout the camp, as players ranging from grades 5 through 8 made jaw dropping plays. After all was said and done, these rising stars balled out and were picked as best of the best for the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase at wide receiver.
Williams is a 6’0, 170 lbs wide receiver from Decatur, Illinois. The Class of 2028 playmaker possesses a variety of skills that makes him an elite prospect. He is a crisp route runner, has plus top in speed, and soft hands. Williams’ best asset is his ability to separate, as he beat opposing defensive backs at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase in multiple ways, eventually earning Wide Receiver MVP Honors. As Williams heads off to high school next year, keep an eye on this rising star in the Land of Lincoln.
Coates is 5’7, 121 lbs athlete out of Illinois. The Class of 2028 wide receiver continually impressed with his footwork and soft hands. Coates was able to create separation throughout the 1-on-1 portion of the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase with his smooth route running. He transitions quickly in and out of breaks, sinking his hips and selling defensive backs at the top of his routes. As he heads to high school next year, Coates is a name to remember over the next several years.

Brooks is a rising star in the Class of 2029. The dynamic wide receiver hails out of Fishers, IN and was extremely impressive at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase. Brooks tested incredibly well, especially when considering his age, as he raced to a 5.17 40 yard dash and 4.5 short shuttle. He also impressed in 1-on-1’s, showcasing the ability to consistently beat the older players he lined up against. Still 1 year away from High School, Brooks is an impressive prospect to keep an eye on.
Hunter is a dynamic playmaker who hails from Indiana. Another impressive Class of 2029 wide receiver, Hunter lit it up at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase. He possesses the ability to make contested catches and can run his way into open windows. A crafty route runner, Hunter will only get better over the next several years as he continues to perfect his game. Keep an eye out for this prospect in Hunter over the course of the next several years.
