Jepsen earned MVP among the WR group as one of the few out-of-state prospects at the showcase (Cyprus, UT). He’s a big target at 6’3”/185 that presents strong hands and a huge catch-radius as a pass catcher. He was able to out-physical smaller DBs in the 1v1 period and used his large frame effectively to box-out defenders. He showed physicality fighting through contact at the catch-point and made effective use of his hands in his releases at the LOS. Jepsen’s an intriguing prospect with great upside in the receiving skillset he combines with his natural physical tools.

Khutsihvili- listed as a TE- was another big-bodied WR top-performer at Sunday’s showcase. He’s a lengthy target at 6’4”/215 with the frame and physicality to make difficult catches in tight coverage. He runs and moves well for his size and showed some craftiness creating space as a route-runner in 1v1s. Khutsishvili- who led Esperanza in receiving last season with 40 catches for 500+ yards and 8 TDs- presents obvious upside in his versatility on the perimeter and strong receiving skills at TE.

Schamel stood out in the indy and 1v1 portions for his focused technique and natural athleticism. He has a slot-WR frame at 5’10”/170 with the body control to adjust and make difficult catches outside his frame. He packs deceptive speed/quickness as a route-runner and hauls in passes with soft, reliable hands. Schamel’s the top returning WR for Tesoro after totaling 35 catches for 600+ yards and 4 TDs as a junior.
Sumler was a strong performer from start to finish and was particularly effective in the 1v1 period. He’s a young, gifted WR with good stop-start agility and short-area quickness. He did a great job of staying clean in his releases at the LOS using available space to his advantage and creatively set up DBs with varying speeds and deceptive breaks. He showed spatial awareness finishing tight catches along the sideline and strong hands through the catch. Sumler’s a SoCal WR to watch heading into his junior season.

Jaramillo was a top performing WR as one of the smaller (5’6”/125) overall prospects at Sunday’s showcase. He’s a shifty, agile mover that can separate out of the break and finishes the catch with natural ball skills. Only a sophomore, Jaramillo has plenty of time to continue to grow and develop upon the promising skillset he showed on Sunday.
