The bulk of these 2024 prospects are already committed, but there are two from Northern North Dakota I would love to see get more NSIC opportunities come their way.
Logan specifically rose his stock during the 11AAA state championship game last year. The instinct he showed off with his pass-catching ability in that game got more offers on his radar, and led to him committing to North Dakota State as a PWO. Logan also showed off how much he can use his size to his advantage by getting enough separation in his 6’3 175 pound frame. He moved up two spots to our #6 overall prospect in North Dakota from this week’s last 2024 rankings update.

I mentioned it briefly in our 2024 North Dakota Winter preview, but the showing that Tony had at the NDSU prospect camp I was at last summer really elevated his ranking amongst our deep tight end group in North Dakota. His proficiency with pulling in some tough high-traffic catches certainly allowed Tony to get a handful of more next-level looks as his huge catch radius was seen consistently at camp as well as on tape within his senior season. He certainly will have a proficient career in the NSIC for Bemidji State in my eyes.
I mentioned that the Fargo Shanley Deacons had a handful of prospects that rose their stock from their early tape from the 2023 season, and the biggest stockriser in my eyes was OL Luke Rogen Luke Rogen OL Fargo Shanley | 2024 State ND . At 6’4 275 pounds, Luke showed off vicious hands no matter who he got his hands on and showed a active downhill presence on the second level consistently. He also showed off the football IQ as a pull-blocker to elevate the Deacons run game around the edges. In my eyes, the Minnesota State-Moorhead Dragons commit got an absolute steal in this young man in early December.
One of the biggest stockrisers within our top 20 in North Dakota was Central Cass DL/OL Tyler Cruchet Tyler Cruchet 6’0″ | 225 lbs | DL Central Cass | 2024 State ND . The Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum, has certainly grown with the strength he has in his hands over the last year or so and I can also see the elevated growth with his football IQ. Tyler certainly has plenty of frame to add at the next-level but he certainly plays way bigger than his measurables show off and the Beavers of Bemidji State certainly saw what we saw on tape as this young man is always found in the mesh of the Squirrels defensive trenches and I just love his growth of his instincts not to sound repetitive.

Carson is a 2024 athlete out of Bottineau that shows off on tape that where he is on the field, this kid can always be a threat. The athleticism he has with his legs show off great play extension as his play in the open field certainly paid off dividends for the Braves in the 2023 season. Carson is a certified swiss-army knife that shows off fluidity with his footwork as well in their secondary and has the big play-making ability shown off with his vertical. As an under the radar senior, I think Carson projects well at wide receiver at the next-level but as a prospect that is still uncommitted, I would love to see him get more attention in the NSIC.
Teagen is a 2024 OL prospect that impressed me with his skillsets a couple summers ago at the Minot State prospect camp, as the Minot State commit has certainly grown his game a ton since then. He has grown exceptionally with his pad-level since my scouting trip to Minot and also has grown well with the finish in his footwork you want out of your center. Teagen’s excellent work-ethic and character will be a sound add to the Beavers locker room, as this kid is one of my favorite early commits that Minot State has to offer.

Wtih over 1800+ yards and 19 touchdowns in his senior campaign, Minot’s Tyson Ruzicka Tyson Ruzicka 5’10” | 165 lbs | RB Minot | 2024 State ND is another prospect that saw a rise in his 2024 ranking. Tyson on tape showed off a prospect that has grown his skillsets with his agility from the last live-evaluation I had from him. Not only with his change of direction, but I love how much his vision has grown in the open field as he is quick to react to what the second level of the defense shows him. He is also a versatile runner and can create chaos with his fluidity as a north-south runner. Tyson CERTAINLY needs more looks around the NSIC, but I would love for him to be a hometown commit at Minot State.
