The speedy wide receiver/running back is an outstanding athlete with big-play ability. He will be an offensive weapon that South Dakota can utilize in a lot of different ways within the offense. Look for Ellens to make an impact in his college career sooner rather than later.
Highlights
Tommy Johl
Tommy Johl
ommy Johl was a great pick up for Illinois State in recruiting. Johl is an athletic offensive lineman who is polished in the fundamentals. He is a physical run blocker, playing with great leverage. In the passing game, he displays excellent footwork and active hands. The Redbirds are acquiring a versatile offensive lineman with a high ceiling. Johl should develop into a solid offensive lineman at the college level.
Xavier Martinez
Xavier Martinez
Xavier Martinez was extremely productive as a senior and provided Hoffman Estates with a lot of spark. He excelled in creating big plays in the return game and on offense. Martinez demonstrated a good burst at the wide receiver position, proving in 2023 to be a mismatch for most defensive backs. Next year, he will be calling Northern Michigan University home, providing an immediate upgrade to the receiver room.
Jalen Cole Jalen Cole 6’5″ | 310 lbs | OL Homewood Flossmoor | 2024 IL recently committed to St. Ambrose University. I believe this is a great fit for Cole as he brings a ton of potential to the offensive line position. Standing at 6’5″ and weighing 300 pounds, he possesses elite size and strength, showcasing these skills in 2023 by dominating opposing defensive linemen. As Cole continues to work on his overall technique, he should set himself up for a promising career at the college level.
