Check out notes on 10 eye-catchers from the afternoon from updates on familiar faces to a few new names to know.

Tre Fuller Tre Fuller 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Captain Shreve | 2025 State LA — 6-2, 180 DB — Captain Shreve (2025)
Arguably the day’s defensive MVP, the Gators’ standout looked good patrolling the back end of the field as he continues to work back from an injury suffered this fall. His length, vision and discipline stand out, as he appears to continually carry himself as more of a leader both in his play and off the field during his recovery and in his preparation for senior year.
Brandon Henderson Brandon Henderson 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Woodlawn (Shreveport) | 2025 State LA — 6-0, 170 WR/DB — Woodlawn (Shreveport) (2025)
The dual-sport standout at Woodlawn (Shreveport) lived up to our expectations, based on football and basketball highlights and track times, as one of the state’s most underrated — if not the most underrated — rising senior athletes. Henderson is fluid as can be, paired with his speed, quickness and ball skills, in way that should have him poised for a major recruiting blow-up sooner than later.
Cayden Lancelin — 6-0, 165 DB/ATH — Belle Place Middle (2028)
Older athletes (naturally) carried the day, but the Belle Place Middle (and future Westgate) athlete deserves a note for his strong performance at safety after being out sick during our last visit to the area. Lancelin’s tall, long frame stands out — particularly for his age — and he seemed to live around the ball with his anticipation and good speed for interceptions and breakups.
Jomello McDonald Jomello McDonald 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Red River | 2025 State LA — 6-1, 170 WR/DB — Red River (2025)
The Bulldogs’ athlete was one of the under-the-radar prospects who stood out from the moment warm-ups began with his tall, long and athletic build and versatility to play on either side of the ball.
David Perry — 5-11, 180 DB/ATH — Bonnabel (2025)
Probably the biggest challenger to Fuller as the day’s top defender, Perry had a great afternoon of reps as a nickel-corner with his quickness, eyes and use of his hands to help disrupt receivers’ releases. He also took advantage of opportunities on offense to showcase some smooth pass-catching ability out of the slot and explosiveness to make opposing defenders miss, even in a non-tackle setting.
Diesel Solari Diesel Solari 5'7" | 175 lbs | ATH Cecilia | 2025 State LA — 5-7, 175 RB/ATH — Cecilia (2025)
The Bulldogs’ versatile rising senior leader torched one defender after another on routes to every level of the field to break himself wide-open on seemingly every rep. Solari said he feels like he’s still working his way back into his rhythm as a receiver, which is a scary notion for opposing defenses this spring considering his impressive performances this winter.
Kaleb Tucker Kaleb Tucker 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Calvary Baptist | 2025 State LA — 6-2, 170 WR — Huntington (2025)
One of the bigger targets at the event, Tucker’s tall, long frame has filled out noticeably since our last opportunity to watch him in person. But he still moved well and repeatedly worked himself free with his quickness and route-running.
Abram Wardell Abram Wardell 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Calvary Baptist | 2025 State LA — 6-0, 190 QB — Calvary Baptist (2025)
Fresh off a decorated and championship-winning junior season, the Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year was the leader of a solid quarterback group working with former LSU quarterback Marcus Randall. The consistency of his quick, correct decision-making and accurate, well-placed throws to every level of the field stood out once again, as has become the norm regardless of season or format.
Jamarion Washington Jamarion Washington 5'5" | 150 lbs | WR Huntington | 2025 LA — 5-7, 160 RB/ATH — Huntington (2025)
The aptly nicknamed “Speedy” had a standout afternoon giving defenders fits trying to keep him covered or contained with his quickness to out-run angles, elude tags and go winding upfield through the secondary for yards after the catch.
Jarrell Williams Jarrell Williams 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB St. James | 2025 State LA — 6-1, 195 DB — St. James (2025)
The tall, long safety had another strong day on the back end of his defenses, moving well laterally and playing with discipline and anticipation to make consistent plays on the ball.
