Sophomore Dominic Vieyra from Medicine Lodge and Dallas Lagree Dallas Lagree 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Sedgwick | 2025 State KS , junior from Sedgwick, went to the wire, with Vieyra claiming the runner-up spot with 35 total points.
Listed below are the top-scoring kickers from class 1A:
Joe Lomshek, 5’10, 150, SMCHS, ’26 – led class 1A for most of the season and won going away with 56 total points. He drilled all 56 of his points on extra points. He attempted two field goals during the 2023 season but was not successful on either. His 5.1 average points per game led the state by a wide margin.
Dominic Vieyra, 5’4, 115, Medicine Lodge, ’26 – finished in the runner-up spot with 35 points as two sophomores ended up leading the class in 2023. He was accurate on 29 of 34 extra points. In addition, he made two out of three field goal attempts.
Dallas Lagree Dallas Lagree 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Sedgwick | 2025 State KS , 5’10, 150, Sedgwick, ’25 – the multi-talented junior was close behind in third with 29 points. He attempted 39 extra points on the season and made 29. He attempted one field goal during the season but was unsuccessful.
Gage Mcginnis, 5’9 137, Pleasanton, ’26 – ended the season in fourth with 23 total points. For the year he made 20 extra points in 23 attempts. He was also 100% on field goals, making his one attempt.
Also of note:
Logan Russell, 5’10, 190, Ellis, ’24 – finished with 21 total points. He made 18 of 24 extra points. He was also one of three on-field goal attempts.
Nathan Berntsen, Conway Springs, ’24 – also finished with a total of 21 points. All 21 points came on extra points making 21 out of 26 attempts. He missed his only field goal attempt of the season.
Manuel Ruiz de somavia, 6′, 205, Hutch Trinity, ’24 – finished with 20 points total for the season. He attempted 26 extra points and made 20. He also attempted four field goals during the season but ended up 0-4.
