In the final tally, senior Jayce Quirin Jayce Quirin 5'11" | 165 lbs | K Parsons | 2024 State KS from Parsons, ended up with 49 points, edging junior Jackson Henry, Clay Center with 48 points. The rest of the class top kickers were close as well.
Listed below are the top-scoring kickers in 3A for the 2023 season.
Jayce Quirin Jayce Quirin 5'11" | 165 lbs | K Parsons | 2024 State KS , 5’11, 165, Parsons, ’24 – took the top spot with 49 points. He was successful on 43 of 47 extra point attempts and made two out of four field goal attempts. In addition to being one of the top kickers in 3A, he has committed to play for Hutchinson Community College in the 2024 season.
Jackson Henry, 6’2, 175, Clay Center, ’25 – was the consensus all-state pick at kicker in many of the leading publications and came within a single point of being the top scorer as well. He converted 39 of 47 extra-point attempts during the season. He also kicked three out of six field goals.
Ward Weimar, 5’10, 190, Wichita Collegiate, ’25 – was also in the hunt for much of the year, finishing just off the pace with 44 total points. He was successful on 44 of his 53 extra-point attempts, but did not attempt any field goals during the season.
Matt Newhouse Matt Newhouse 5'6" | 140 lbs | ATH Wellsville | 2025 State KS , 5’6, 140, Wellsville, ’26 – was the top-scoring sophomore on the list, and close behind the leaders with 43 total points. He made 43 out of 50 extra-point attempts. He attempted one field goal on the season but was unsuccessful.
Also of note in 3A:
Emmanuel Anguiano, 6’1, 205, Holcomb, ’25 – finished with a total of 39 points. He was an accurate 36 of 42 on extra points. Additionally, he made his only field goal attempt.
Jacob Grant Jacob Grant 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Baxter Springs | 2025 State KS , Baxter Springs, ’25 – totaled 34 points on the season. He not only converted a hefty 95% of his extra points, going 19 for 20, but also drilled all five of his field goal attempts
Korben Wilson, 6′, 170, Holton, ’26 – scored 30 total points on the season. He made 30 out of his 39 extra point attempts but did did not have a field goal attempt in the season.
